AlexandCo. August 7, 2017 Share August 7, 2017 Hey, I'm Alex I discovered tulpas a couple years ago, and ever since then I've been fascinated by the subject. I have had an accidental tulpa or similar entity named Jessica for many years now. Hello! Jess has taken an almost motherly role. She's fun, but she's also very responsible. She keeps me from acting like an idiot. Learning about tulpas was exciting because I realized other people existed with similar experiences to me. I told my girlfriend about them, and after her successful attempt at tulpamancy, Jess and I decided to try it for real with a second tulpa. Hopefully we'll start making progress soon Jessica types in pink
AlexandCo. August 7, 2017 Author Share August 7, 2017 So, I'm not sure if It's frowned upon to make two progress reports in the same day, but something weird happened. I was checking out the tulpa community on reddit, where I came across people talking about "punishing" their tulpas for doing wrong. I was narrating everything I read to my new tulpa, and when I read about that I felt an alien, panicky feeling. I'm not sure if that was my tulpa but I'm going to assume it was. In other news, we've decided to let the tulpa chose its own name, gender, appearance, etc. I've sort of been assuming it's a female, but of course I wouldn't care if it turns out to be a guy or even non binary (I think that's the right term). I guess that's all, maybe I'll have Jess introduce herself tomorrow Jessica types in pink
Vampire August 7, 2017 Share August 7, 2017 It's your PR, update it as often as you wish. (Staff are pretty hands-off on PR's as long as you only have one thread.) Nice to meet you Jess! ^-^ ~ Ivy "My lover's got humour, She's the giggle at a funeral, Knows everybody's disapproval, I should've worshipped her sooner." Host to Samuel, Raven, Ivy, and Olivia. AlexandCo. August 9, 2017 Author Share August 9, 2017 We seem to be making progress with our tulpa. We've got a pretty concrete form down, and she's able to give simple answers to questions. She is almost like a little kid in her emotions and maturity. Her understanding of the world seems very child-like. I'm guessing this will change with age, but who knows. Hi Ivy! Between the two of us, we've been able to force her pretty much nonstop. I'm betting that accounts for the quick progress. It's exciting to have someone new to talk to. I don't have many IRL friends who actually know about me, and I sometimes feel lonely. I guess that's normal. I've thought about switching long term, as some systems do, but Alex would never go for that. I still front frequently so it's not so bad. AlexandCo. August 10, 2017 Author Share August 10, 2017 Our youngest tulpa has chosen a name for herself. Hope. She's becoming more intelligent and self aware all the time. She's very enthusiastic and energetic. I sometimes wonder if she's really real but she assures me she is. Hope is super excited for school to start, but she's alone in that. Hopefully (pun intended) in time she'll be able to switch and have complex conversations, we plan on working on that. I think Hope will serve as a foil to me. I can be cynical and untrusting at times, she'll balance me out. She's already starting to encourage me to be less serious and more forgiving. I think she'll be good for both Alex and I. Unrelated, but recently I can't help but noticing how rare the gender dynamics of my system are compared to the rest of the people here. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just weird.
