In other words, *sigh* you're art is intimidatingly good.

Oh, don't worry about it. My skill is only a result of years of daily drawing. At best I used to draw on the way to school, during class, on recess, on the way home, and at home. Repeat every day for like 5 years, plus another 5 years at least of less intense daily drawing over the years. And I also went to school about it and graduated a "professional" artist, and I feel like my skill is very lacking for that title, but it's there.

So really, it's not a talent. Just over a decade of hard work. You'll get there, your art is already pretty good, and in some ways better than my art was four years ago, comparing to the old tulpa art I'll never post.

But really, never compare yourself to other artists because that will just make you feel bad, trust me I know :'D compare yourself to yourself from the past to see your improvement and look at other people's art with a learning purpose, see what you like about theirs and how you might use that in your own, stuff like that.

I misssss my drawing tablettttttt

But I'm getting a new pen in a couple of days, finally! I can finally art properly again and for once I'm actually looking forward to it.

I drew a mini Desmond for fun.

And ended up drawing the rest of them as well. From left to right it's Desmond, L, Nevira and Misa. Accidentally put them in the order they were born in but that's fine Big Grin

And then I did a sort of a process thing with Nevira, I suck at coloring and don't know how I got it right with the Desmond art that I did some time ago. Beginner's luck I guess, haven't been able to do that again. And I drew Misa and colored a printed copy of it but it looked kinda shit so I'm not posting it.

Wow nice lineup! I like Misa. She looks like a fun happy person I'd like to know better. Does she ever chat on here?

EDIT: I think when I first saw your amazing digital artwork it just broke my mind, like "nope, I can't ever do that, it's magic". For some reason seeing these sketches on paper make me think there may be hope for me one day after all. Am I weird for liking the feel of paper and pencil? For liking color pencils instead of, I dunno, charcoal, crayons or pastels?

Misa is fun and happy, but she's hardly interested in verbal communication even within our system, so she's not very likely to chat on here. Though, it has more to do with her attention span rather than shyness or just being antisocial... It's unfortunate, it'd be nice if the rest of us chatted more on here but that's gonna take quite a bit of pushing and prodding on my part to make that happen :'D Even Desmond's quieting down again.

And no, you're not weird at all. Everyone has their preferred art media, there are still people out there who don't think digital art is real art at all Big Grin I never really liked pastels or crayons or anything that bulky when it comes to traditional, can't do watercolors to save my life so if I must paint traditionally it's oil or acrylic. Haven't done that in years but I remember it being fun, but frustrating at times.

Not really tulpa art, in the sense I usually mean it, but after thinking about Desmond's view of drawing and art in general I wanted to have him paint something. Now, this thing was only started by Desmond and finished by me. It's just a small 40 minute speedpaint, but I'm kinda liking it. Desmond basically just made the sketch and put in some values and colors and left it to me.

I spent way too much time on this and in the end was so impatient and bored with it that it's kinda half-assed, the head tentacles are kinda hard to see against the sky and the dress has pure white on it, the coloring is messy and overall not very thorough, but here it is anyway. I wanted to try drawing Nevira without reference pictures to see how I would do, since I usually have references for her because of the asari head and the fact that she sort of looks like an existing character...
