I'm new to this site, and I've been attempting to create my first tulpa. As soon as I joined this forum, I realized how many people have been creating horrible physical forms for their tulpas, such as rabbits and ponies... I believe most people should aim toward a more humanoid figure. Unfortunately this site is mostly comprised of creative bronies who feel that their tulpas are actual beings, when in reality they are realistic hallucinations. Someone explain to me how its come to this, I probably sound like a douche, but I'm being honest.

Everybody is free to choose a form as long as they're (and later on their tulpa) is comfortable with it, there is no reason to limit the form to humans because it doesn't feels adequate to the beliefs of someone else. Personally I think you have no right to judge the form of someones tulpa, unless there is a really good reason to do so. It is a pretty douche thing to join a community, read through personal progress reports and start to tell people how "horrible" they're for choosing said form.

The reality aspect of a tulpa is a pretty complex subject, which get's discussed a lot. It is controversial if tulpas have a real sentient mind or are just a realistic simulation of a mind. The hallucination counts for the the manipulation of your senses such as visual appearance, the voice, smell and stuff like this. Nobody argues that these aspects are "real" in comparison to a physical body, but a tulpa is not the body, it is a mind controlling the simulated body. At this moment I can't tell if you're just trolling, since you had a very bad start and left a bad first impression to me.

So I would advice you to either stay open minded about how different aspects of tulpamancy are handled, or leave for good if you really can't arrange it with your personal morality. People won't change just for you.

This particular community was actually made by people who liked MLP, so yeah you always had a decent amount of ponies. While I personally am not one of those fans, I don't see the point or convenience of judging and looking down on the form of another's companion. Their reasons for picking that form is their own, and I choose to respect that.

Sketchbook, Journal, and Ask thread.

Honestly... I really hate MLP because of how bad I think the show is and because of how awful some of my encounters with so-called "bronies" were throughout my life.

And even I think that your post, this thread, really is highly disrespectful and pointless.

Would I ever create a tupper that looks like a pony?

No, sure as sh*t not.

Do I sometimes cringe a bit at all the pony tulpas?

What the - yes! What with how bad my experience with MLP fans is, what kind of a hypocritical, prententious *sshole would I be to sit here and lie about it? Of course I sometimes cringe at it!

But do I honestly care, or think these people are somehow not as good as others, or their tuppers are "worse" for being what they are?

Or did I waltz in here the freaking day I created my account and attacked the community for it?

No. Because that's just plain dickish and disrespectful. Live and let live.

PS: Edited my post because there was sleepy grumpiness in there to an impolite extent.

I apologize for that.

My thoughtform Melian has a human form. But she has considered and toyed with the idea of having a second pony form. I think this very thread right here has encouraged her to definitely make a pony form thanks.

Fade: The only reason why I'd judge a tulpa's form would be if someone literally designed their tulpa to be a flying dick.

While I don't find pony tulpas to be that original, if people like a form and choose it, then you should respect that - unless they are a flying dick. I sometimes sigh when I hear about someone recreating Twilight as their tulpa, but that's their choice. And, if the tulpa later decides they hate the form and want a change, power be to them, they can try to change it. It isn't terribly hard, though it might take some work.

A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.

And is a different, non-human form of someone's else's tulpa affecting you?

Some things work for other people, and that's fine. I like the idea of having a human companion, my friend's happy with their phoenix companion.

On a different, more serious note, what if your tulpa deviates to a non-human form? Will you force them into a form they don't like?

You got a problem with rabbits, bub? Saying that all tulpas should be human is like all music should be one genre.

And as for the realistic hallucination, yeah, I'm well aware, we pretty much all are. But it sure feels like there's another person here inside my head with me, so why not treat it like one? It's not like it adversely affects my health.

I'm IBreakGames, a genuine dude.

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.

What he was referring to is the difference between having a tulpa and one thinking they have one, but actually just imagining things entirely.

Which, yes, is a humongous difference (although it also ignores anything in between, like having a young, not-yet-developed tulpa, or some other kind of thoughtform).

'cause, like... in one case there's a person there, and in the other case there isn't.
