Could tulpas be used for therapy?

Lets say that someone loses a loved one in an accident. These days, ways to deal with that typically are, from my knowledge:

  • Medication (E.g Antidepressants
  • Psychologist
  • Just trying to deal with it.

But, perhaps, in the future, tulpas could be used to help. The affected host could create either a replica of the victim, or create a whole different being to be there to help the victim with words of support and the like.

Tulpas could also be used to help inmates in a prison better themselves by caring and nurturing their tulpa (and, unfortunately for the tulpa, have something to have sex with other than another inmate).

Those are just some ideas of mine.

Tulpas have helped with these things before. Energetic happy tulpas to combat depression, for example, are likely a thing that's been done, and of course there's the guy whose tulpa helped him with his PTSD.

The above post does not contain facts.

q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.

Creating a replica of the victim is one of the last things you want to do.

This. You would end up being stuck in that purgatory of not accepting that a loved one is gone, and clinging to any materialistic reminder of them to keep you from facing reality. Except instead of a few weeks at most, they'd be in it forever. The other suggestions sound fine though.

All depends on the person, IMO. If one thinks he can deal with just living of a tupper of the victim, then all I have to say is go right ahead. I won't stop you.

I don't think that being a replica of a person (dead or alive) is good for the tupper, since the tulpa isn't them and never will be. And being in denial of someones death is very bad. Sure, the tulpa could help the host get over/cope with/accept it and the like, but I wouldn't recommend making a tulpa for that one reason.

I agree that using a tulpa to replicate a dead person would be bad.

Even if you accepted the fact that they are dead, you're still not supposed to create tulpa that are based off of real people or characters, or yourself.

But they could help in a therapeutic manner, seeing as they are part of your mind and subconscious, I'm sure they could help you sift through your feelings and/or memories and help deal with a traumatic event or feelings of grief.

Although if your mind is consumed by grief or other very strong emotions, you may just end up blocking your tulpa from your mind, so it may not work if you do not wish to help yourself. That's just me talking, btw, I have nothing to back up the theory.
