Sheep LI May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 So wait: the more you review personality, the better you'll remember the traits in fine detail? How long should these traits be reviewed for per day? Half-an-hour to an hour? I mean, I haven't reviewed personality since the 11th I believe. I want to make a tulpa. That's why I'm here. tulpatalk May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 Everyone's different. Go with what feels comfortable for you. I suppose that it would be entirely benefical to review personality, so go for it. [Note: Opinions]
Bluesleeve May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 So wait: the more you review personality, the better you'll remember the traits in fine detail? Yes, of course. Ebbinghaus' forgetting curve is what you remember after learning it for the first time. With every review, we will see, that the curve is flattening. When you revise information for about 5 times in a timespan of 6 months, it will be stored in your long-term memory. It also is the reason why you should review the traits several times. Even though you might invest 20 minutes in one single trait, your cognition will be as good as lost after 2 or so days. Meaning to review: - A few hours later - the next day - after a week - after a month - after six months I believe, this will be not enough for a Tulpa, since we are not only trying to remember individual traits, but build a personality with them. Getting that basic feel of the personality is what we want to achieve and that takes longer time. How long should these traits be reviewed for per day? It doesn't really matter. Take a trait and apply it as long as you feel comfortable (That can even be only 2 or 3 minutes per trait). It is more important to review them several times. What is a Tulpa? Phi May 24, 2012 Share May 24, 2012 Let's say I do 3 traits: -Trait 1 -Trait 2 -Trait 1 Review -Trait 2 Review -Trait 3 -Trait 1 Review -Trait 2 Review -Trait 3 Review -Finalization That's all one session. I do another quick review (in less depth) in the beginning of my next session. The next day if I can recall everything just by saying her name then we're good.
