FigN01 June 21, 2012 Share June 21, 2012 Last night I had a particularly good session of tulpaforcing, especially because I was able to focus on the task with a lot less wandering thoughts than usual. I actually have a mild case of ADD that sometimes makes focusing difficult, and it's a bit of a manageable pain in the ass. Anyway, during that session, Uzo very clearly said that my attention span was making forcing difficult for both of us, so it would be way helpful if I could get it under more control. So short of medicating myself on aderall, what methods or tools for focusing do you know of that could help alleviate scatterbrainededness? Guest Anonymous June 21, 2012 Share June 21, 2012 Just a short easy 5 minute meditation session. I used to have the exact same problem before I began regular meditation, but I'm able to focus distracted for 30-40 minutes at a time now. Just sit where ever you normally tulpaforce as comfortable as you can, and close your eyes. Now take a few long deep breaths, focusing on each one. From there, you just have to focus on your breathing. Your brain will wander, so when it does acknowledge whatever the thought was that popped up for a second, then re-focus on breathing. Chances are, unless you're a god it'll take quite some time until you can go with zero distractions. But even if you can't focus on your breathing for longer than a single breath, it'll still organize and calm your mind remarkably more than before.
