Very well, here's a few examples of MTG's shenanigans. Link. Ctrl+F down to "Early Installment Weirdness".

Yo, my name is Sean and I'm the host of 2 tulpas: Sente and Mae. You'll know when they're talking because Sente talks in yellow text and Mae talks in blue text.

“Examples include flipping cards over in the air, dividing creatures into two different groups that can't ever meet, subgames and playing for ante.”

Very interesting, but I still don't see anything about playing yugioh cards (using wish cards or otherwise) or targetting other MTG games.

Yeah, the citation for that stuff is pretty hard to find as it delves into old rulings which were long since overturned. The wish cards allow you to add cards you own from outside the game to your hand, later modified to have to be MTG cards. Door to nothingness says "target player loses the game", people used to get away with forming coalitions and targeting each other's opponents in different games (in a tournament setting) until they fixed that.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I did some research, and in Magic today “The term card refers to a Magic card in Magic: The Gathering. It has a Gathering card on the front, and a Magic card back.”

However, I can't find evidence either way as to whether that rule was in the official rules when Judgment (with all the wish cards) came out. My question would be: Has anyone succesfully used any non-MTG card in a sanctioned event? Because I'm almost certain it's happened at some private game, but that doesn't really mean anything.

And targeting people in other games?? That's just ridiculous. I couldn't find a specific rule for it, but I suspect I wouldn't be able to find a rule prohibiting dance-off interference for similar reasons.

The game has definitely become more tame in recent years. Sometimes it's too fair and balanced, to the point where I wish my opponent would just skip my turn or something.

Do you remember where you heard about this? I can't even find a vague mention of targeting other games anywhere, but it may still be out there somewhere. Door to nothingness came out in 2013, and surely if people successfully targeted other games and got an official ruling then there must be some mention of it somewhere.

It was something an MTG judge told me irl. I'm not sure if I've ever read any online articles confirming what he said.

I suggest you take that story with a grain of salt. If you can ever find that same judge again, I'd love to know more details.
