Help needed. Why is it bad to make a tulpa almost exactly the same as you?

It could cause complications when distinguishing yourself from them. Other than that, I don't see why it's bad.

As long as you allow your tulpa to deviate if they want, I don't see any issues arising other than what Shadow said.

I don't visit as often as I used to. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc

You can already talk to yourself right now! Why make someone just like you?

Any sorta tulpa will understand you fine since they exist in the same mind as you, trust me. But if they aren't different, they won't have anything interesting to say!

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

I would imagine your Tulpa could have an identity crisis if they think they are you but realize they are not. The other thing is you can give your Tulpa permission to read your thoughts, because if they can see those then they pretty much have you figured out pretty well.

Meow. You may see my headmates call me Gray or sometimes Cat.

I used to speak in pink and Ranger used to speak in blue (if it's unmarked and colored assume it's Ranger). She loves to chat.

I am asking this because if i make a tulpa almost exactly like me.Who else to understand me then a copy of me that only differs in a few ways?

Any kind of tulpa you'd make would be able to understand you in the same way because you were the one who created them - they're in your mind. The advice about the identity crisis stuff stands, but the important bit here is that I doubt you'd be getting anything more out of basing a tulpa on anything in particular unless you believed that to be the case, and if you did, why not shift that to something else that would be more appealing to you and build from there?

just seems kind of boring. People used to say not to because we were worried about identity crises and not being able to tell them apart from...well...you.

Despite the name, the host bodybody is the one usually using this account.
