How to spend time during sessions?

The one biggest problem, and I think ultimately the downfall, of my last attempt at a tulpa is that even though I could devote the time to tulpa forcing, I could never get myself to use all the time I'd set for each part of the forcing. My plan was to spend at least 15 Min. on each aspect of the personality, but what would happen is I would spend as long as I could explaining every detail of the particular trait, only to find that a good 5 or 6 Min. had passed and nothing more. Eventually I got to setting a timer for 15 min. before I forced a trait, but all that happened then was that I would just think of filler thoughts that I really didn't feel accomplished anything but wasting time. I was "done" (and I use the term lightly) with my tulpa's personality in 2 and a half hours, but yet I knew that she wasn't done.

I don't intend to limit myself by imposing a super-strict time limit on myself, but I'm really struggling to go as in depth with my personality as I feel I should, so what I want to know is how you guys went about giving your tulpas personalities; what questions did you ask, what thoughts did you think, did you follow a process or just winged it each time, ect. I think I saw a guide around here somewhere where Dane outlined the questions and such he asked his tulpa when he was forcing it, but I can;t for the life of me remember where it was. [/b]

Have you read FAQ man's Personality Guide? It helped me a lot, especially this part:

"When you're outlining the trait be sure to include: How the trait helps them rationalize, how the trait works within their logic system, how the trait plays a role in morality, their perception, their likes, dislikes, social endeavors, faith, personality, quirks, emotions, how the trait makes them interpret their own emotions, how the trait plays a role in their hobbies, and many other things not listed here."

I know you feel like you really need others experience, but you don't. Your mind knows better. Spend some time before actual tulpaforcing for relaxation. Be cool and relaxed as a penguin. Say to yourself, that you will be tulpaforcing, doing this and that, and when your mind decides you are done, you will be done and you will end your session, feeling refreshed and good as new.

How much timed needed for "curing" smoking? 15 mins. Why would you limit yourself and stress out because of others people limits? If you really feel you need to do more in session, do it. Don't do it because others do it. As for session plan - just write down it, I am sure you will create great plan for yourself. Actually, there is no need to go in depth with every detail of your tulpa. Because ultimately you mind knows it already, you only have to connect this to your tulpa image. And you may go in depth with tulpa's trats if you really want it.

Maybe this one will help. Try describing your relative, friend, or random human. And now answer with honesty - are you able to talk about this human for hours without fillers, describing every detail of person's personality?

Pretty much what the guest above me said.

You should just work on each thing until you feel it's done, then move on.

I guess I'll just give it another shot then. I just felt like she was incomplete when I finished, like there had been some scenario that I hadn't considered and didn't know how she'd react to. I guess I can figure that stuff out along the way though.
