Guest Anonymous May 31, 2012 Share May 31, 2012 What about them do you not understand? Maybe I can help clear up any confusion. But the guides really are the best and most organized information you'll find on this site. I've been studying tulpas for a few years now (but don't have one yet), so if you have any questions unrelated to the guides I can still help you out. Charlotte May 31, 2012 Share May 31, 2012 Okay, really, I have no clue how the guides didn't help but here's the tl;dr: 1. Make a fully fleshed out character using a couple traits and think about what kind of person they are (Do not make a back story though, that's a bad thing to do) 2. Accept them as real and simply wait for them to respond. 3. Talk to them daily like they're any other person until they respond, while working on their perosnality by telling them about it (examples help). That's it. I suggest looking at the other threads around here for better info though because we pretty much advance out studies daily through various threads. This hot empty painting should be locked and towed. Charlotte May 31, 2012 Share May 31, 2012 No, don't do visualization yet (I forget why but I know you shouldn't, I think it just ends up being a servitor). The importing part is personality. Just imagine them being there without being there, like something watching over you or something. Just keep talking to "that", eventually it'll talk back. But of course you have to believe it exists to begin with. Don't "expect" it to be sentient some day, you have to be confident it already is, and just doesn't know how to talk yet. Also when doing anything with the tulpa like tulpaforcing, always say "we", not "I". The Tulpa has just as much to do with it's creation as you do. This hot empty painting should be locked and towed. Guest Anonymous May 31, 2012 Share May 31, 2012 uhm...So i pretend like...she's sitting in my bed, sitting on a chair...standing by the door...like that? then talk to it,daily? Somewhat. However there's more to it, otherwise you'll end up with a servitor or a hologram, which are both not good. You'll want to come up with ~30 traits you want your tulpa to have first. I found it's best to pick a few broad traits and start adding related traits to each of them until you have a good amount. Then you'll want to spend about 15-30 minutes per trait really going over it and how it applies to your tulpa until you've gone through them all. Anytime during or after you've been doing the above, you'll want to talk to your tulpa. Tell them about what's currently going on, how you feel, the future, the past, etc. It doesn't really matter as long as you're talking to it. You're likely to not get a response until around 50 hours total in, but regardless you'll want to keep going. Only then should you start imposing it on your environment. (In other words, pretend your tulpa is there with you in real life).

Guest Albatross_ May 31, 2012 Share May 31, 2012 Talk with my mouth or just with my mind? Whichever one you feel more comfortable with. Most people think about traits in their mind when designing personality though. should I feed it with the story of all the animu I watched? That comes later, in narration. If you want to talk about animu in narration then feel free. and no visualization yet? ... Not until you have the personality down. I still don't understand Charlotte summed the process pretty well, but here's my attempt. ... 1. Design a character in your mind. Define everything about this character -- how they act, how they think, how they view the world, how they handle emotions; everything about them. This generally takes around 15-16 hours of light meditation, which we call "tulpaforcing". Tulpaforcing is you taking time to just think about and define this character. 2. When you have how the character thinks, acts, etc. firmly in your mind, and you feel that you can't or don't want to define more, move on to visualization. This is where you design a form for the character you created in step 1 to control. Detail and define everything about this form; how it moves, how it smells, tastes, what it looks like, how it feels -- do this for all 5 senses. 3. Narrate to your tulpa. Talk to it as you go about your every day life. Talk about whatever comes to mind; just talk to it. That should get you through about 60 hours of creation.
