Everybody seems to be using linux now. Isn't it a pain in the ass though? I don't plan on getting it anyway.

Not in our experience. We use it for general purpose computing and write guides in reddit comment formatting (markdown) in a text editor called vim.

This is my basic interface. Note the lack of icons on the desktop. They're unnecessary if I have the ones most frequently used pinned to the task bar.
