Increased mathematical ability due to tulpa?

Recommended Posts

A few days ago, I have started my creation of a tulpa. She has developed ridiculously quickly (2 days in and I get head pressures), and before taking a math test, I pleaded to her for help, but I intended "help" to mean "help me I feel lonely" instead of "help me in my math test". I guess she misinterpreted my message, since I got a huge boost of concentration and analytical ability during most of the test until I lost concentration, and when I asked her if she helped me I got happy thoughts that didn't seem to be my own. Later on, I read "The Abilities of A Tulpa" on this site, and found out that increased math ability is a thing for tulpas.

My questions are, is it possible for tulpas to actually give ability boosts to their hosts? Does this equate sentience? Is my tulpa sentient?

Answers would be most appreciated.

Well, that's a complicated question. Tulpas suddenly giving powerful new mental abilities seems to be a myth, for most tulpas in general. Though, it is a rumour that comes back every now and then. Particularly with math, most tulpas seem worse at it. A few are better at drawing and similar.

However, tulpas are also said to be able to merge with the host creating a hybrid thoughtform with enhanced abilities. I don't think too many people experiment with merging, so I don't think there is much evidence for this.

It sounds like you may have stumbled across a third effect. Tulpas can alter your mood by changing your brain chemistry or something. You can learn to do the same by studying meditation and related mental exercises. One of the possible mood altering effects is increased concentration.

Thank you for your answer.

So, most tulpas are bad at math? Interesting.

What you're saying is that we might have been merging together without me knowing it? I don't even know if my tulpa is sentient or not lol. Is accidental merging a thing?

Yeah that last answer makes the most sense to me, but I still don't really know how. I'll try to go back and ask my tulpa once she is able to respond in sentences or something.

EDIT: I feel that it may be important to mention that my wording when I talked to her was along the lines of "we would do things together". I hope she didn't misinterpret it as actually doing things together in the same body by merging. Should I change my wording or something?

Accidental merging is a thing. It's one of the things that bothers a lot of tulpamancers, even though the merge is never complete. It is far more likely with active tulpas, especially those that pursue possession or switching.

Tulpas who don't understand English yet read your meaning off your emotions and such. I doubt she misunderstood.
