Nev_the_mofo_demon_child February 20, 2017 Share February 20, 2017 Okay, so I just found out about Tulpas last night, and I am really interested in creating one. But I am having trouble with visualization, and making it appear like a real human. So I decided that I could narrate for now and let my tulpa form as he/she so pleases. I was wondering if I could predetermine the gender, name, and species of my tulpa as I am narrating, and let the tulpa create it's own appearance and personality. But I'm not sure if that will mess up the creating process, and whatnot. Please help. Thank you.
RaveCrazedDave February 20, 2017 Share February 20, 2017 http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html It's VERY VERY hard to "mess up" a thought form. It's kind of like any other form of art, really: you add, you change, you remove; it's an organic process. That isn't to say that your tulpa is always going to be an undefined mess, you will reach a point where you'll be happy with whatever your decisions (or other just-so-happens that might present themselves), are, and then you'll know how to proceed. Don't be afraid of exploring and experimenting, you won't mess it up; it might take you a while to find what you really want and how to work with your tulpa, but you will not mess it up. This has been my experience with Luna so far at least, and we are both very well aware she's still got a lot of growing ahead - as have I.

tulpa001 February 21, 2017 Share February 21, 2017 Yeah, this is a pretty basic question. The answer is you can predetermine everything no problem, but you need to accept the eventuality of deviation, which happens to tulpas, and can change some things. Host comments in italics.
