Lacquer December 4, 2015 Share December 4, 2015 This is the page I'm referring to. Specifically the Forum Games and Lounge subforums, but if filtering those would require filtering the entire Community area, that'd be okay.
Luminesce December 4, 2015 Share December 4, 2015 These days, half the discussion goes on in Lounge. But I've thought the same thing about Forum Games. Not as far as I know, unfortunately. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Chupi December 5, 2015 Share December 5, 2015 Quick answer: Bookmark one of these: - Forum Games and Lounge posts in the past day - Or do you want the past 2 days of them? Long answer for anyone wanting to make their own bookmarks: Documentation is lacking, but looking at the source of search.php, you're in luck, though you'll have to write your own URL, which you can then bookmark. As you might already know, URLs can have parameters at the end, of the form .../page.php?param1=value1¶m2=value2¶m3=value3.... Note that search.php?action=getdaily quickly redirects to a URL with action=results and an SID parameter. You'll either have to bookmark it quick before it redirects you, or create a bookmark and then edit the parameters you want into its URL. First, you'll need to find the Forum ID (fid) of the board(s) you want to list posts for. To discover valid fid values, go to the search page and view the HTML source for the "Search in Forum(s)" list. It's roughly halfway down. (In most browsers view source is Ctrl+U, or Cmd+U on Mac.) You'll find things like " Lounge", which says the fid for the lounge is 41. You can ignore the ones that are categories like "Guides" (34). Alternately, here's a list of all user-viewable fids as of when I made this post. I've omitted the fids for the categories themselves since they don't have any threads directly inside them and therefore return no results. If you want everything in a category, list those boards individually. Tulpa.Info Forums> Forum Announcements : 7> Forum Questions & Comments : 8> > GAT Discussion : 32Account Related> Talk To Staff : 25> Your Deleted Posts : 37> > Off-topic (archived) : 6Tulpas> New Users : 29> Questions and Answers : 14> General Discussion : 4> Research : 5Guides> Guides : 15> Tips & Tricks : 35> Resources : 36> Articles : 43> Submissions : 33Metaphysics and Parapsychology> Metaphysics and Parapsychology : 17Community> Progress Report : 13> Tulpa Art : 21> Lounge : 41> Forum Games : 40 Then construct a URL. It will start with https://community.tulpa.info/search.php?action=getdaily and add one or more of the following in the usual ¶m=value format. The getdaily action takes the following parameters: fid: Specify a single board to look in. Note that this is a number, not a name. See above for the numbers to use. Example: https://community.tulpa.info/search.php?action=getdaily&fid=41 -- get today's lounge posts.fids: Specify a list of boards to look in. Same deal as fid, but it takes a list separated by commas and NO spaces. Example: https://community.tulpa.info/search.php?action=getdaily&fids=14,4,5 -- today's posts in Q&A, GD & Research.days: How many days worth of posts to find. For instance, search.php?action=getdaily&days=7 should give you all posts from the past week. If you don't specify it or give it a value less than 1, you get the last day's posts. Example: https://community.tulpa.info/search.php?action=getdaily&days=3 -- get all posts from the past 3 days. You can also of course combine fid/fids and days to get multiple days worth of posts from specified forums. Fid/fids can also be used with action=getnew for posts you haven't read yet. Lacquer December 5, 2015 Author Share December 5, 2015 Oh, I meant that I wanted to filter out those subforums, as in have just those particular forums not appear in the page, but you went way above and beyond describing the behavior of it. Thanks

Thanks Yup, there's no shortcut way to do that. Just list all the fids that aren't Lounge or Forum Games. Lacquer December 14, 2015 Author Share December 14, 2015 On a similar topic, what exactly is the difference between getnew and getdaily? Getdaily is easier to tell, since it's just every thread that has had a post in the past 24 hours, but I'm not sure what the parameters for getnew are exactly. Chupi December 14, 2015 Share December 14, 2015 Getnew does the same as getdaily, but instead of 24h or a multiple of it, it uses the time since your last visit. You can use the same fid or fids parameters with it to control what boards you'll see posts from. Note that time since last visit is not entirely accurate, since the server doesn't know when you stopped looking at a page or closed your browser. It just knows when you last loaded a page.
