Mental impairment from tulpaforcing?

Guest

Recommended Posts

I'm 50+ hours into tulpaforcing and narration, and I've noticed a sort of "slow down" in my mental processes. I stumble over my words more, have a harder time forming sentences, and other such things. I feel less motivated to do anything not related to tulpa.

Does anybody else get this? Does it go away once your tulpa is complete?

Maybe you catched a cold or having mailnutrition, or not enough physical activity. Why do you think it's tulpaforcing's fault? Are you sure you actually didn't have all these problems before, but started paying attention only now? You know, you learn how to concentrate and this becomes a habit, you start learning a whole lot of stuff about yourself you never noticed before.

How much time you spend tulpaforcing and what your usual session consists of?

Have you left your house lately? If not, I can tell you what's happening (maybe).

Your brain has a 'use it or lose it' thing going on. It's like if you learn how to fold a paper crane, then you never do it. After awhile, you'll forget how to do it. What's probably happening is that same thing, except not with origami. If you spend all summer in your room talking to your tulpa, your brain is saying 'screw it' to remembering how to socially interact. Now, spending a few months isn't going to make you mute or make you forget the only language you know. That's ridiculous to even think. However, you could start to easily stumble on words, or

start forgetting words in the middle of a sentence while you're talking with somebody

. Yes, 'but I talk with my tulpa so this isn't right.' A legit thought, but this easily happens when people spend all their time on internet forums. Once you get into a real social situation, or sometimes even if you're just talking/thinking to yourself, you'll start suffering. The potential problem with this is that it could cause social anxiety (think about how awkward it would be to continually forget words mid-sentence while talking to people). The social anxiety can cause you to lock yourself up in your room even longer, which will make it worse, which will cause a cycle and two years down the road you'll realize your a NEET.

That was a pretty extreme example, but it happens

.

The apathy towards anything but the tulpaforcing is just you getting used to always tulpaforcing. If you were to stop right now, within a week it'll go away.
