Rainfall March 24, 2017 Share March 24, 2017 This is my journal on the creation of my typing servitor. Before I start this I would like to clarify that I don't know anything about making servitors or any thoughtforms and everything I know is assumptions and what I learned from the guides and will be using the brute force method because I have no experience at all Day one: I have designed its form to be a keyboard and have started by giving myself orders on what to type and then typing it out.I was getting ready to stop and then I had a mild headache that I think is the result of starting to create the servitor? Also how long does it normally take to finish a servitor?
tulpa001 March 24, 2017 Share March 24, 2017 Man, this site's main servitor expert has not been around much. Hmm. I don't know the answers to any of that. Not sure he reads this. If you have servitor questions, I suggest asking them in questions and answers with the tag [servitor] in the name. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide. Vos March 24, 2017 Share March 24, 2017 There aren't a lot of active people left on the forums that are knowledgeable about servitors, unfortunately, but it seems like your questions are simple enough. Creating a thoughtform requires a lot of concentration, often more than the prospective host is used to, so it's not unlikely to see headaches in these cases. As for how long it takes, it's likely going to be the same situation as tulpas - that it's dependent on the host/creator.
Vampire March 24, 2017 Share March 24, 2017 You can expect some headpressures when making a servitor. The first one will take a while but if make any more in the future it will be faster. I'd estimate a month or two before you have it working. This should also predispose you to tulpamancy if this is a test to make sure you want a tulpa (I'm not sure your intentions) Some suggestions from me. Write a letter of intent. Basically a letter to the servitor outlining it's purpose and function, and simple things like it's name. If you don't intend for it to possibly become a tulpa outline that it should dissipate if it has any sentient thoughts and don't think of it as sentient but instead a tool. I'll keep up to date on your PR. "My lover's got humour, She's the giggle at a funeral, Knows everybody's disapproval, I should've worshipped her sooner." Host to Samuel, Raven, Ivy, and Olivia. Rainfall March 24, 2017 Author Share March 24, 2017 Progress report day 2 I have decided that I will also use this servitor for a phone keyboard as well and am trying to make all typing I do be practice for the servitor.I spent 20 minutes typing just to train the servitor. In those 20 minutes the typing seemed to become a bit more automatic. Also once I finished I visualized the servitor,I ordered it to type something and relaxed and my hand slightly twitched in the direction of the keyboard. And now for some more questions: 1. If I put more time into servitor training will the servitor be created significant faster or around the same? 2.Can servitors dissipate in the same way tulpae can? Vampire March 25, 2017 Share March 25, 2017 1. If I put more time into servitor training will the servitor be created significant faster or around the same? It certainly can't help. If I told you I wanted you to be a lumberjack but you've never cut a tree, you won't make much progress. You can also try playing typing memories for it, maybe times you wrote a large essay and so on. 2.Can servitors dissipate in the same way tulpae can? Yep and usually easier. It's not considered morally wrong to get rid of a servitor because it is not sentient, it's more akin to deleting an old file off a computer. They also don't have the strong fight to preserve themselves as they are not self-aware. If you needed to get rid of it pretty much any visualization symbolism works best for you will do. In the past I have absorbed servitors but more recently I just have on of my tulpa deal with them. tulpa001 March 25, 2017 Share March 25, 2017 I think you mean it certainly can help. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
Vampire March 25, 2017 Share March 25, 2017 Certainly can't hurt rather. My brain runs faster than my speech/typing a lot. FallFamily March 25, 2017 Share March 25, 2017 [Hail] Ah, a servitor progress log. This is my journal on the creation of my typing servitor. Before I start this I would like to clarify that I don't know anything about making servitors or any thoughtforms and everything I know is assumptions and what I learned from the guides and will be using the brute force method because I have no experience at all Even with no prior experience, some people can do the "Just Make It Method" or a mixed method. Do not necessarily assume you cannot do something a priori. Though of course, choosing the "Brute Force Method" anyways is always legit. I was getting ready to stop and then I had a mild headache that I think is the result of starting to create the servitor? Also how long does it normally take to finish a servitor? Headaches can happen when making a thoughtform of any sort (tulpa, servitor, etc.), when a thoughtform or other being in a brain learns a new skill, etc. So, it is definitely possible your headache was from that. As for how long it takes to make a servitor, it varies greatly and also to some degree depends on when you define as having a servitor because in a sense you already have one, though it isn't completely functional yet. Day one: I have designed its form to be a keyboard and have started by giving myself orders on what to type and then typing it out. Progress report day 2 I have decided that I will also use this servitor for a phone keyboard as well and am trying to make all typing I do be practice for the servitor.I spent 20 minutes typing just to train the servitor. In those 20 minutes the typing seemed to become a bit more automatic. Also once I finished I visualized the servitor,I ordered it to type something and relaxed and my hand slightly twitched in the direction of the keyboard. You know, it sounds like you have stumbled upon a major third way (and quite effective way) to make a servitor on your own, the "Shard-seeding Method". It is actually my preferred method and what I used (in conjunction with the "Brute Force Method") to make many of my servitors, though my servitor guide does not yet go into this additional method since I have needed a lot more time to figure more out about it and write it down and it has a bit of risk (the original version of my servitor guide, which is not available anymore, was exclusively this method). Tri and I finally did write an article on shard-seeding, which you may find interesting (Shard-Seeding And Shard-Feeding). We still need to add a section on it to the servitor guide I wrote. Now, if you read the article you will note the warnings it has. What you are doing here is of no real risk. One has to go a lot further with shard-seeding for there to be any risks. And now for some more questions: 1. If I put more time into servitor training will the servitor be created significant faster or around the same? Generally, more effort will result in more progress, though sometimes breaks are needed to progress well. This is the same for making any thoughform. Also, breaks are a good thing anyways. 2.Can servitors dissipate in the same way tulpae can? Yes, they can (note, this means that sometimes they cannot just as with tulpas). Same as hosts and other beings and entities in the mind. Rainfall April 10, 2017 Author Share April 10, 2017 So far I have been doing irregular training, some days I do a half hour of typing and others I spend one minute repeating my servitors purpose to it. It is still not automated but definitely feels more separate from me. My questions are if it has irregular training will that slow its development and will one minute of training a day keep it from dissipating
