New to Tulpamancy- Help creating my tulpa?

Recommended Posts

Hello. I am new to Tulpamancy, though I've known what it was for quite awhile now.

I've looked through all of the basics etc., but I had a couple of questions:

Can I make a tulpa out of an already existing OC?

How to start your relationship with your tulpa after creating it?

What is it like being in your Wonderland?

((I'll probably have more questions, I will just need to think..))

Question #1: Yes, but, to avoid future problems, make sure he/she knows that they are not the OC, unless of course they are a soulbound.

Question #2: Just like with any other human, through talking(called "forcing" in the tulpa community).

Question #3: Wonderlanding is just like imagining a place, with practice it will begin to feel more real. I do recommend you read through the guides on this site though, as they will answer most, if not all of, your questions! :D

Those questions are all really basic. They should probably be added to the FAQ and they get asked all the time.

Except #2. Technically, a relationship is the sum of the interactions you have with someone. You have already started your relationship.

Can I make a tulpa out of an already existing OC?

This is addressed in the FAQ on the main site. This has also been discussed on the forums before, as you can find with the search function (try searching for "already existing character" and listing results as "posts").

It's also discussed in some guides.

How to start your relationship with your tulpa after creating it?

This sometimes falls under the same blanket as "forcing," (especially in the context of very young tulpa) and that may well be what you are referring to. In a more generalized sense, you live out your relationship with your tulpa by interacting with them. Perhaps in much the same way you interact with any other person.

Very many guides (such as this one) explain the aforementioned "forcing" much better than I can.

What is it like being in your Wonderland?

My wonderland? :p

You must understand that wonderlands (like many of these concepts) are extremely specific to one's own mind. The way that it works will, by nature, be different for every person. Also, remember, "it's not required to have a wonderland" if you don't want one.

My thoughts on the matter aside, there are some guides that detail wonderlands quite well.

Please consider re-reading the FAQ and using the site search function before posting. It's worth it to note that the site search function is a bit finicky, but you can usually find results with rigorous searching and researching. If all else fails, you can search the forums with Google.

As it turns out, most questions that people want to ask have been asked, re-asked, and answered several times in the short five-year history of this site. If you do have a question and just can't find an answer to it anywhere, feel free to ask it.

Also, feel free to contact users via PM with your questions, if want very specific and subjective input.

It may be preferable to link to pre-existing answers when replying to duplicate or otherwise well-known questions, or perhaps to augment your reply with links to well-known answers (e.g. in the FAQ, or an approved guide, or a post from a reputable user), versus more or less rewriting your own version of those answers from scratch. I think it's important for users to do their own reading; linking useful resources and discussion is, in my opinion, far more effective than composing custom answers every time a duplicate question is asked.

As detailed above, the answers to these questions can largely be answered by reading through the FAQ, some of the Guides, or through use of the search function.

If you have another question, feel free to create a new thread, but first, please do go through these available resources to try to get a better understanding of the concept, and use the search function to make sure that your question has not already been asked.

Locked.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
