Can my tulpa control my body when i'm asleep?

Recommended Posts

I don't think so, especially not if you don't already have trouble with sleepwalking. Being asleep isn't specific to the host/whoever's fronting, it affects the entire mind, meaning it's really the brain (and body) that sleep. That should include you and your tulpas. Some people/tulpas claim they dream separately or that the tulpas don't necessarily sleep at the same time as the host, but even then the tulpas are at best "awake" only in their wonderland or similar concept of mind space. If your tulpa could "be awake" in your body while you were "asleep", you wouldn't be asleep.

Also they shouldn't want to do that anyway. So, unless you both have a habit of actually sleepwalking -and- learn how to switch, I don't see that even partially happening. If you do sleepwalk, maaaybe your sleepwalking self could be more your tulpa than you, but even while sleepwalking your brain is still mostly asleep and likely won't be involving the parts of your brain that make up "you" or "your tulpa" in the first place.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I never had a sleepwalking habit. But if i teach my tulpa how to switch and it has a sleepwalking habit, can it then happen?

Sleepwalking is a body/brain thing, I don't think it would ever start because of something you thought. Would take like actual brain damage or some kind of trauma, or some kind of drug's effect or something. So no, this won't happen.

Yes! And we have just recently developed an objective repeatable and simple procedure for producing this effect. It involves possession and continuous motion while the host falls asleep.

Draw small circles on your host's body while they fall asleep.
