ghost kid October 11, 2019 Share October 11, 2019 Do you think science well ever prove tulpas exist? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum.
Breloomancer October 11, 2019 Share October 11, 2019 yeah. they're currently doing fMRI scans of tulpamancers brains which will probably prove that tulpas exist I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Guest October 11, 2019 Share October 11, 2019 Hi ghost kid, I think tulpas are probably unfalsifiable for now. In other words, I think the plausibility of tulpas cannot be proven or disproven by observation or the outcome of any experiment. In the future, there might be advances in technology and a better generalized understanding in the human brain that may allow us to model tulpas discretely. This is a contentious subject but I think it is naive to suppose tulpas can be understood on a very technical level without first having a very technical understanding of consciousness, which is currently one of the greatest scientific and philosophical mysteries of this eon. Breloomancer October 11, 2019 Share October 11, 2019 it can be proven that tulpas exist while much of the nature of them is still mysterious. DID has been proven because people have been shown to have different activity in their brains depending on which alter is fronting that singlets could not replicate. assuming something similar happens with tulpas, then tulpas will be proven I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Ashley October 12, 2019 Share October 12, 2019 This is a contentious subject but I think it is naive to suppose tulpas can be understood on a very technical level without first having a very technical understanding of consciousness, which is currently one of the greatest scientific and philosophical mysteries of this eon. It's called 'the hard problem' by those who study consiousness and has been neglected by the scientific community for centuries. Didn't Ember.Vesper dig up something about this before? As in much of psychology, it's not always repeatable, so a purist may always be skeptical, regardless of evidence.
tania October 12, 2019 Share October 12, 2019 umm difficult question. I think science could say that there is a such thing as tulpas.. just like science says hallucinations exist and having a halluncination is viewed as a real thing and not a metaphysical issue. That does not say that science will end up saying or proving that tulpas are real people or anything like that thou. Will science prove there those who are tulpamancers have a special brain state which differs from other populations of people. That I don't know as I myself do not know if there is a different brain state distinguishable from those who are doing different things. It could end up being a special brain state also seen in many yogis or something so may not be distinguishable by science from something like that.
