  1. 1. What is your view on Tulpa experiments?

    • They are a part of my consciousness and, if possible, any further research should be made.
    • Tulpas are companions, they should not be taken as test subjects.

I would reply to this thread but it's been so long since posted that I rather make a new one

I had ideas and lots of questions a while ago(1st and 2nd day after finding out about tulpas)

But one is still in my head, I call it "resetting", it's the only name that came to my head when thought about it.

Basically, erasing all memories and personality from a tulpa.

I am still creating my own, and even upon completion I will not test it with the first tulpa I ever make, so for this I need a volunteer.

Someone who can make a tulpa fast enough so it is not time consuming.

Fill it with any stuff you want and then, try to empty it.

A mindless tulpa.

I am not the kind of guy who makes long threads, I just try to make my point as easy to understand as possible.

Pretty simple, if anyone wants to try, I'll be listening.

While I may have chosen the first option on the poll, I think it should be stated that it only partially covers my thoughts on the matter. I think more research should be done, but I do not believe that tulpas are a part of my own consciousness.

That said, I don't really support something like this. It's psychology - research should be made, but not at the cost of destroying a tulpa (or host for that matter) without their informed consent and agreement.

If you, like me, think is is unfair for Pleeb to pay all the site costs alone, please consider making a private grant to tulpa.info

Well, I am also against hurting them,(the way I imagine resetting is pretty fast but I don't even have a tulpa so what do I know) but the Host has the final decision.

If it fails, we move on.

If it works, Hosts will have a new option in case they just want to use it.

Yep, Skye's taken the words right out of my mouth. While I'd like to see more research done, I believe that tulpas should be able to live their lives like the rest of us and not feel like they have a duty to be experimented with.

I don't think I'd reset a developed tulpa that'd not want it, I think I would treat them in a family sort of way, even, which helps because I was wondering what I'd do if my tulpa turned out to be an ass in views but I thought about it and figured it might actually be like having a sister or mom with lame ideas rather than a friend I'd want to cut off.

My lip hurts.

It seems to me you lack compassion. May the Lord of Heaven give you a heart so be it.

Please do not do this to yourself.

I do think more research should be done, but only really in consensual circumstances. I know everyone's path is different and everyone has different views and moralities and a risk one is willing to take would not be worth it to another. It's not an experiment I would partake in.

I would also think one should be aware how subjective the tulpa experience is. A simple fix for one person might be impossible for another, and something that took ages for one might happen in a day for someone else. Everyone's wired a little differently.

I'm personally not into the idea of this project. But perhaps that is just because of my own personal experiences with my fuzzbutts.

Well, I voted yesterday on second option, but later I have a really long talk in my WL.

I have something, that I brought to life when I wasn't aware that tulpas exist, and that they're not only ordinary imaginary friends. I loved then "Harry Potter" series, and I used to imagine me being a Hogwarts student, and having lots of adventures with main characters of the book. It was great for me so that I was spending hours and hours playing with them, instead of doing something "in real life". So, no wonder that Harry gained his own sentinence. Later on I started to lose interest in them, and one day I've said "goodbye" to all friends here and moved on. From time to time I wrote them letters (on real paper, but didn't send them), and couple of years ago Harry appeared when I was going back from school and asked why I left them, and told that he's missing me, that he feels alone and many other stuff. It was weird - my own imagination was missing me? And now, when I found out about tulpas, I realised what he might be. I summoned him, and brought him to existance once again. For the past week he was living in my Wonderland, but he's not really happy. Why?

I made him for purpose, with whole past and... Well, he's basically what the books Harry is. And it's hard for him now to know that it was all made up by me. Secondly, his home is Hogwarts - he feels bad living in my WL (which looks like a cross of antique shop, bookstore, and coffee shop) and knowing that he is something... That was just repeated after someone else's imagination.

So yesterday we talked in WL, and he agreed to participate in the experiment. He's not happy with who he is now, and is in kinda... Suicidal mood. "In that way, I can get the chance to gain new life" he told me. Ofcourse he is scared, and so am I, but we made our decision.

So now we have questions for you?

How to do it? Do you have any ideas, on how to erase tulpa's personality? What technique may be usefull?

I think I could try to put him in a state of hypnosis, and ask him questions about him. And deny everything he will say, to confuse him and leave him completely blank.

What do you think?

Currently there are three of us here. I write in plain white.

Prince, which is I, write in light blue.

Wolfess, although I not think she would want to, can write {in such a brackets}

As long as the tulpa is willing & understands what's happening, why not?

Sure, I didn't think of the way to do it, but that sounds good.
