Sense of warmth while "making" a tulpa ?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I've thought about making a tulpa for months now and finally resolved myself to do it.

I've read some guides so I know the steps, and I know not to perfectly follow the guide's instructions.

I began making the personality traits ( still not finished, started yesterday ) and I did in total three hours of visualising ( two hours yesterday evening, one hour when I woke up ) although it seems hard imagining a good form for a tulpa ( I suffer from Aspergers ).

I've read that Aspergers find difficulties in thinking creatively and imagining things, so this could be related ? In that case what should I do about it ? Should I base my tulpa off a fictional character and make the personality by myself ?

But my main question is the following : since yesterday evening after the visualisation ( which was a little hard ) I began experiencing warmth in my whole body and a feeling of ease. I'd like to know if anybody experienced this while making a tulpa and why it's caused.

To sum it all up :

- I find imagining and visualising a character which I've never seen very hard ( I suffer from Aspergers syndrome ), what should I do ?

- I get a feeling of warmth and a feeling of ease since I've begun making my tulpa ( mainly from personality ).

Thank you for your time.

To your first question, the answer may be unsatisfying but it's as close to the truth as I can manage: just put in more hours. Visualizing may take a very long time. I don't suffer from Asperger's but I'm not a visual person either so I identify with what you're going through. Just keep visualizing and visualizing. It may take many hours, many days and many months before you feel comfortable with visualization. I think I recently reached my 3-month mark, but I'm no where near completed with visualization forcing on average for around 45 minutes a day maybe.

So, soldier on.

To your observation of warmth, it's different for everyone. After good forcing sessions, some may have warmth, and some may have headaches. It'll be different for everyone but as long as it's a positive development you're in the clear.

It's not unsatsifying, I'm ready to put in as many hours as I have ( and need ) to. It's just that when I try to visualize my tulpa ( if it's from scratch ) I can't focus and think clearly ( also I can't seem to remember the face of the tulpa when I get distracted and just have to start from scratch again. )

Then again I try to compensate by narrating a lot ( did that today, also upgraded my wonderland ) but it's really difficult.

I think I'll try what you said and focus more on visualizing for more hours.

We have several users with Aspergers, and some have said that it actually made the process easier for them. It won't hold you back unless you let it.

I'm not the type of person that gets defeated by a single thought, so it's not really holding me back. If you meant something else please explain.

If you're struggling visualizing your tulpa from scratch you might want to see if you can get a picture drawn of it. There's a handful of artists on this site that will take requests, and there's always outside sources like deviantart.

I haven't heard of a "warmth" sensation - but if anything, it's good. You could treat it as an emotional response, or to a lesser degree, a sign of progress.

Hey, fellow Aspie (not sure if that term offends you, I personally think it sounds cute) here. Although my case is incredibly mild at worst, it's still something that keeps me from visualizing properly, and my hyperfocus generally doesn't tend to extend into my tulpaforcing. Because of that, it's pretty difficult for me to visualize as well...or do anything at all relating to forcing for that matter. In general I think that it's a good idea to just plan out how you're going to force. Make a schedule if you have to. I know that I really need to develop a specific routine otherwise my thoughts and emotions get all jumbled up and I don't like that. If I can't anticipate whether or not I'll have the time or willpower to force, then I most likely won't ever get the time in.

In any case, my best guess is that the warmth you're feeling is either you going into some sort of relaxed or otherwise comfortable state (which is most likely), or you're getting your first signs of response from your Tulpa (which is quite unlikely with the amount of time you've put in so far). I took me three weeks before I got any signs from Chuul (my Tulpa), but he basically sent me a 'message' through a kind of warmth as well...except it felt more like a heartburn on the right side of my head than an actual warmth. It felt super out of place and unnatural, so I simply assumed it was him and began focusing all my thoughts during active forcing and passive narration into that area. If you want to do the same and focus your thoughts into wherever you feel warmth, feel free.
