OpticThrill January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 So, long story short, I had recently decided to make a tulpa and had named her "Samantha". Nothing eventful had happened up to this point, since it had only been a few days since I started. I was forcing today, just focusing on the placeholder form I had created as a sort of visualization practice. About 15 minutes in, I got a strong word, "Tara", and an image of a blond anime woman's face. The word was decidedly a name, both because of the following image and a strong feeling that it was a name. After making sure it couldn't have come from me, I was forced to conclude that she had changed her name on me. (After I'd made the progress thread. Oy.) Has this ever happened to anyone else? Bambi January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 It has. Not to me personally, but I've heard it happening to others. It isn't really that surprising, as tulpa love to deviate. Too bad she changed her name, but I think it'll grow on you later on. :) James: Hello, all!
Akinkinit January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 Mine likes her name, but she's changed her form, voice and clothing choices with very little if any input from me. So a tulpa changing her name doesn't seem off to me. Noriko says she changed it to Tara probably because she thinks you'd like calling her that more. Currently share myself with four other entities. Noriko was created on December 15, 2014. Sabari was created by Noriko on January 22, 2015. Anzu was reborn on May 23, 2016. Xiri returned on June 16, 2018. Both had been inactive since 2012. It does create a certain feeling that's much better than the old one.
Linkzelda January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 Eva's original name was Margaret, though both names were up for questioning for her, but we decided to go for Eva instead. The Margaret thing kind of stemmed from a dream where I first met Eva as a dream character. glitchthe3rd January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 You should call her by whatever name she wants, or she might not like you as much. I know because one of my tulpas had a different name until she started insisting I call her something else. Aijada January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 I got to change my name and it was one of my favourite and most meaningful things my host suggested i do. I broke free of my narrative and my dad was happy enough to even suggest that i could pick my name myself. It was a fun week looking up meanings of words so i could pick my new story of what i wanted to be. It empowered me tremendously once i left behind the original tulpa i'd been. Early member of a large system. Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact. We genuinely suspect that deadies can return to share the mind of the living. sushi January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 Fenchurch has stuck with her original name, but I never decided if that was a first name or a last name. She decided that it's a last name, and came up with her own first name. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
