Guest applesauce99 June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 My 'plan' on tulpa creation is: 1. Personality 2. Sentience 3. Form 4. Imposition That's not my question though: When it achieves sentience, can, with it's help, we create a form for it based on my subconsious ordeal and what the tulpa wants? I want a human, and tell it so during forcing, hoping that when it's sentient it will still desire to be human. I'm just having trouble visualizing a form - hence I postponed until after I finish sentience. I guess my questions are: Can a sentient tulpa create or help create its form? Can the tulpa also help impose itself? Can the tulpa help make a wonderland? I want the entity to be a part of creating itself, to a point at least, mostly because I'm lazy and because I'm having a little difficulty visualizing a form from scratch. Imposition doesn't sound like it'll be that easy for me either.
Waterbijdewijn June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 >with its help Though seeing as there are people here who have a tulpa which has transformed itself I suppose it's possible for a sentient tulpa to have some influence on the process. Visualizing is not that hard though, and perhaps it is possible to do it together, but that would mean that your tulpa can speak to you before its form. Maybe it's better to have a basic form or be a ball of clay and work on it together later? quidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur
ThatOneGuy June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 >Form creation Clair had much of the influence over her form, if not outright designing it her self, however actually sitting down and creating it is up to the creator. >Helping with imposition She aids me in imposition by sitting still during long running sessions. >Wonderland Clair completely designed the wonderland herself, with little to no direct influence from me. Damn... Oh and a quick question on naming your tulpa: I keep getting new ideas for names and after I decide on a name, it starts to feel more and more 'alien' as if it's kind of hard to remember or use for the tulpa. Is this normal? Like sometimes I accidentally say a different name when addressing my tulpa, although I quickly correct myself.
ThatOneGuy June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 Just sounds like you're going through names until you hit on one that actually feels right. Clair's was at first Clarisse, and I knew it was good after it sounded perfect and just matched her, but then she gets vocal and says that Clair is shorter and much better sounding. Just go with something that feels right and when the tulpa is vocal they'll change it if they wish is my advice. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches. Guest Anonymous June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 Quick note: Clair designed TOG's wonderland after she was sentient. By that time TOG didn't have one.
Guest applesauce99 June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 Ok. Yeah I've gone through Kate, Alex, Claire, and now Kate feels more natural after all that. Randomly once when I was doing something else and thinking of my tulpa in the back of my head the word Genevieve came into my head out of NOWHERE. I prefer Jenny, but eh... By the way, Kate is the name of a character in a short series I wrote a long time ago so she technically is based off of that character. It was a zombie story with guns, a deeply poetic apocalyptic city for a setting, and parkour. Kate was a playful, adventurous, yet emotional and passionate charcter that held the other characters together and helped them to be developed. I'm not giving her that backstory, but thought it sounded interesting. Yap yap yap Actually, on that note, some people say that you could write short stories about your tulpa interacting to help it develop. Could I imagine stories where my tulpa is in situations and interacts with other people or me? Or is writing (badly) better?
Chupi June 10, 2012 Share June 10, 2012 I want a human, and tell it so during forcing, hoping that when it's sentient it will still desire to be human. It would make more sense then to do at least some work on form before sentience. Then your tulpa will have a human form and probably be fairly used to it by the time s/he chooses. Mostly they stick to the basic form you make, but do smaller changes. I'm just having trouble visualizing a form - hence I postponed until after I finish sentience. Are you watching the backs of your eyelids and not seeing anything? You need to shift your mental focus from your eyes to you imagination. Until imposition, all visualization is in your mind's eye. Guest applesauce99 June 11, 2012 Share June 11, 2012 I do visualize with my mind, but its hard keeping a visualization stable. It'll change by itself right before me or I'll forget changes when I move on and end up doing a foot or something several times before I get deja vu and feel like and idiot. and the form I have to force to is a glowing energy ball that represents my tulpa's 'soul'. I tried a body/form first but abandoned it for personality forcing.
tulpatalk June 11, 2012 Share June 11, 2012 Just don't give her a name yet. Let her choose it for herself. [Note: Opinions]
