Sovereign October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 I have been busy lately and have not been able to do as much forcing as I would like. I still want to narrate throughout the day, but I end up forgetting a lot of the time. Does anyone have any tips for things to converse with my tulpa about throughout the day? What do you tend to normally talk about with your tulpas? Tulpa name: Canaan. fennecgirl October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 You can simply narrate what you're doing. You can also tell your tulpa about things you're interested in. Also, if you catch yourself thinking about, well, anything really, you can just start directing those thoughts to your tulpa. I come out of hibernation once in a blue moon. That sounds really tedious, but I guess I'll give it a shot for my tulpa's sake. Tulpa name: Canaan. Oguigi October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 Yep Take Fennecgirl advice, this is basicly early narration. Since you can't have a conversation with your tulpa (am assuming), you kinda will have to talk about things, once your tulpa start to obtain a speech pattern he/she should start to respond, once that happens the rest is history. and yes almost everyone can agree that it's abit Tedious. but the things we'll do for our tulpas. pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer. Guest Fillyfooler October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 I mostly just explained to her the storylines of video games. After she could talk I just asked her what she wanted me to talk about.
Frostwolf October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 Well normally when I talk to people I have trouble talking about certain topics aswell. As for tulpae I figure they are going to know all my memory's one day or another and I might aswell talk about the stuff I don't want to talk about with anyone else. These can be things that have been bothering you for a long time. Have you done something that's really bothering you and you need to talk it out with someone? Tell it to your tulpa. After you're done telling your story you can finish by saying how thankfull you are at him/her for listening. That way your tulpa will feel special for being told something noone else knows about and you feel better for talking about it with someone, even if your tulpa can't talk back. It certainly helped me. You like my kitten? come on over for a closer inspection! Newbie tulpamancer on the loose. fennecgirl October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 ^ That's definitely good advice. It's generally easier to speak openly with your tulpa about anything because your tulpa is essentially an extension of yourself. It's also unlikely your tulpa is going to judge you for anything, and you know that your secrets are safe with them because they can't tell anybody. And, like Frostwolf said, you'll feel better for having talked about it, and your tulpa will feel special because you're choosing to share your secrets with them. Aeiou October 16, 2012 Share October 16, 2012 I personally took Emma through some particularly strong memories as a way of exposing her to extremes of emotion. It helped me make a LOT of progress that week.
PsychedelicDiamond October 17, 2012 Share October 17, 2012 I agree... it is kinda tedious. Can't wat for the day when Sarah can finally respond and tell me, what she actually wants to talk about. Right now i'm usually just telling her about movies i find interesting. I also made it a habit to tell her the name and performer of every song i hear on the radio while driving. And what i think about the song. I really hope she's not too sick of it yet. ^^
Frosty October 17, 2012 Share October 17, 2012 Aight, picture a person next to you, a friend. What would you and a friend talk about? However, it's like your best friend in the universe and you can tell them anything. So just say what's on your mind, whatever that may be. I usually narrate what I'm doing, or talk to her about things that are on my mind, or comment about the weather and shit. I actually do that quite often, I find the sky in general to be quite fascinating.
