RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

I've noticed that ever since I put Inca in a stasis chamber, Rava's voice has been much weaker, she can't grab my attention very well, and she tires way easier. So I've decided to try bringing him back for a bit to see if things change.. Also I'll stop using my electronics so much, because I have a bad tendency to get lost in my own world. I feel like this reduces the amount of mental "resources" Rava has to communicate and grow, thus stifling her development.

But ultimately I think having Inca around for a short while (before he was put in stasis) was helpful for Rava, which seems a bit odd to me. So I've decided to try bringing Inca back for a bit to see if things change..

RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

That makes sense.

I think I'll still go through with waking Inca, I think a bit of competition might help Rava grow stronger. They talked quite a bit. And if it doesn't go well I'll have him go in the stasis chamber again.. I just kind of want to give him a chance.

RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

Day 12
Me and Rava started the day by talking about the later to-be conversation with my sister, and introduction of Rava to her.. Anyways, me and Rava are developing weird tastes for food that doesn't exist. Rava seems to be a big driver of this, which I fully appreciate (any development on her part's great, and the food's pretty good).

Around 12:00 pm me and Rava decided to go check out more of the neighboring world, so I conjured some four wheelers in the garage and we drove to the nearby town. It was pretty crazy, we were going at least 100 mph through town roads, and Rava nearly hit a car.. We ended up on my other personal island Muya, Rava was coming in to hard so she somehow made wings sprout out of her four wheeler and managed to land successfully. I was pretty surprised because they had been intended for driving only. We decided to go fly around and were soon flying above the capital city, flying around and weaving between tight spaces between the buildings. We got a bit bored so flew towards the moon (with spaceship-four wheelers.. heh). When we landed we saw that the moon had lots of red sand and most plant life was a purple-ish color.

Rava ended up asking a guy about it, and he said that he didn't know but he heard it had something to do with some kind of special electricity? Anyways.. We flew around a bit, and decided to race to mars. I ended up winning because apparently Rava's spaceship was older. We decided to have a mechanic in a nearby city update our spaceships, which took a while to do.

We tested out the spaceships and accidentally found they had a "boost" button, by pressing it :l. When we figured out how to turn it off, we had ended up a few miles away from something appearing to be some sort of mining colony. Well, it wasn't. When the colony detected us it shooting missiles at us, so we fought back. We ended up blowing up most of the facility and than stormed it with laser rifles. We discovered that there was a guy named Elys on board. He was an Ayuashiunian scientist abducted by the American government for unknown purposes. We took him back home and concluded that the adventure was done for now. Rava was a bit worried about the whole thing so I had her warn the local government.. And that was it (presumably, for now I guess).

Some comments
  • Rava and me have decided to bring back Inca, I will post about the results tomorrow.
  • I'm very good at visualizing our mindscape, but sometimes depth perception is a bit hard.
  • I'm looking into tips for switching and boosting Rava's mindvoice's strength.. Hopefully something good comes of it.
  • Rava has developed a passionate hatred for two foods I like quite a bit, cheese-its and asparagus..
  • Rava's been pretty good at shooting down intrusive thoughts of mine, which I never expected her to be able to do.

RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

Your guided/unguided imaginative adventure sounds a lot like mine. I wonder if we can get into a dream-like state while imagining? The results are similar, and the experience is somewhat similar to a lucid dream. To me it feels more forced, like it takes more mental effort to keep it going than a lucid dream which seems to take no mental effort. Control<--->effort? I don't know.

Huh, it's the other way around for me. Visualizing my mindscape takes very little mental effort, but lucid dreaming takes a lot of effort.

RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

This is a bit long so I've split the post in two, the comments section idea from the previous post will also be utilized.

Day 13 - Adventure Log
Today has been pretty interesting, what with Inca around and some other stuff.. Anyways, we kicked today off with an active forcing session for 30 minutes or so, and we figured out an arrangement to make things work better. I spent roughly 25 minutes of the first session with Rava, and about 15 with Inca in a later session (I wanted to go further but he seemed a bit tired, and I was getting distracted.) Of course this won't be the only time spent forcing today.

Anyways during those 15 minutes with Inca some interesting stuff happened. When we went to his mindscape to hang out, we talked for a bit about the world and established a few more ground rules. Mid-discussion we both had a vision of Inca's cottage nearby being shot at by some crazy people with flaming arrows, so we rushed over. He told he'd take care of it.. And he demonstrated some interesting magic in a quick fight with them, that I sadly can't really describe. Afterwards we had an interesting albeit short discussion of the differences between how he deals with problem, and how me and Rava deal with them.

Today me and Rava came up with a system to differentiate between her mindvoice and Inca's mindvoice, because their mindvoices are pretty similar. We made it so Inca's thoughts and essence are yellow, and Rava's are red. It has worked VERY well so far. Anyways, we ended up sensing a "black" essence hanging around, and asked it it's name. It said it's name was Aardvark. I wasn't going to allow a second walk-in tulpa so we put the poor dude in a stasis chamber, probably to never come out again.

I ended up having another session with Rava and Inca. When I was with Rava we mostly talked about life and cuddled a bit (which I didn't do with Inca, he doesn't like that stuff). But when I was with Inca we went to the beach. "The beach" is really just an island the size of a queen mattress with two chairs on it. The chair to the right has a wooden umbrella over it, and the one to the left has no cover. Surrounding "the beach" is a very shallow "ocean" no deeper than a foot, many Chinese style lanterns float over the ocean. Anyways.. Me and Inca were mostly just hanging out in the water, floating around. Sometime during this session a dragonfly landed on my nose while I was floating, and when it took to the stars once again, it burst into thousands of beautiful glowing orbs. Me and Inca were in aw, staring at these orbs, when another "tulpa" walked in. We quickly realized it wasn't sentient and banished it from the area.

Day 13 - Progress Report
Today Rava and Inca have really come into their own, they are most definitely sentient now and fully vocal. We have been testing the limits of our abilities, and I've found I can "hide" my thoughts from them whenever I want (which I won't do much). They are capable of just walking in and talking when they want now, even when I'm on the computer. They often engage with each other when I'm busy or distracted. Rava has been able to very quickly take control of the body's means of speaking (albeit randomly). Within a week I believe we might be capable of switching, which Rava has much interest in doing (Inca doesn't really care for switching though).

I'm conducting an experiment to see if I can hide information from them online (although I won't, we are very open with each other) Whenever I speak in this color they (hopefully, for the experiment) won't be able to see what was written. I will experiment with this in later reports. We also plan to experiment with Rava being the primary creator of a tulpa in a few months.

Overall they seem to be showing a tremendous amount of progress in just a day, the future is very bright indeed.

Some comments
  • I'm going to try to apply holotropic breathing to tulpamancy, we're not sure how it'll work out though.
  • Both Rava and Inca have differing political views, Inca is quite a moderate and Rava is an anarcho-communist. I believe in some form of democratic-socialism whatever that doesn't really subscribe to any common system..
  • Aardvark has been my second walk-in tulpa in four days, which is pretty inconvenient. By the end of the year I'll have had like thirty walk-in tulpas at this rate. I plan to just put them in stasis chambers (for if I ever want them around again).
  • I think we're gonna start exploring our mindscapes more, we've had a lot of fun recently.

If they just walk in and start talking, especially with such frequency, they are probably just introcive thought

I'm pretty sure Aardvark was a "low-level tulpa" for he felt sentient, while the walk-in later on didn't. Sadly I panicked after briefly talking to Aardvark and didn't test his sentience before putting him in stasis, so we may never know.

And Inca was originally a walk-in, he's only had a day and a half of existing (because he was in stasis for a few days) and he is most definitely sentient.

RE: Tulpae Weekly Progress

Rule number 1: No more tulpas. (at least no without consensus of all other system mates)

Also, if you post with that color blue, people on "dark" background can't see it.
