Tulpaudcast!
Tulpaudcast is a show I host about anything and everything tulpas. Each episode I bring on one or more guests who have something interesting to say

This is a thread for all tulpaudcast episodes and discussion about them. Below in the hidden tags are the release post and download link for each episode so far. I will also post in the thread as well as editing here so that anyone subscribed to the thread can get updates on new episodes.

Episode 1 - Pilot:
So Mistgod has caught my interest as of late, and it brought up a project I've wanted to do for awhile: A podcast!

This episode we* talk about Mistgod's expeirience of creating and interacting with his companion, Melian.

Download: HERE
Once you start listening: Psychological study done on tulpamancers

Do tell me what you think, I'd love to know! Sister post on /r/tulpas.

*I don't talk much, I mostly just ask questions to keep Mistgod talking and then recede back into being serenaded by his voice.

Episode 2 - Threesome:
Tulpaudcast Episode 2: Threesome
Also on many browsers it will just start playing instead of having to download first, so that's cool. If you don't want that to happen then right-click > "Save link as"

This episode Mistgod, Quetzal (and co), and I discuss the line between tulpa and not, parallel processing, and messing with gender identity among other things.

Links to stuff we talked about, in the order we talked about them:
As always, do tell me how you like it! I read every comment, and I'd love to hear what you loved and (maybe even more importantly,) what you hated.
As a final note, would any of you want a RSS feed or similar?

Episode 3 - The adventures of Einulf & Co:
Posted mere minutes before I have to leave for the airport
Tulpaudcast Episode 3: The adventures of Einulf & Co.

[Download audio file]

This episode Einulf, his headmates and I talk about Einulf and his headmates; How they came about, how they interact with the world, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
This episode I overdid the editing a little bit, you may be able to notice jumpcuts; Sorry about that.

I have more podcasts recorded and in the works!

Episode 4 - GlitchThe3rd:

So I guess this is what mostly dead means. 3+ months between podcasts XD

Episode 7 - A new, better world and Professionalism™
Tulpaudcast Episode 7: A new, better world and Professionalism™ 2hr 9min

[Download as ogg or mpeg]

That one guy that got banned? (not mistgod)
Fede-lasse
Yeah apparently he still exists. And now you can stop asking why he got banned.

On a more serious note, I would like to extend my apologies to Fede. This was originally recorded on November 29th, 2015. There is no excuse.

Show Notes:
Fede's Tones
Fede's Guide
Red Triangles
Blindfolding Experiment
JD's guide
Insanity laws by state
Telling people about your tulpa
Akinator
Shanti (from Jungle Book 2)
Stanley parable
The Beginner's Guide
NotFede

Partway through the cast, Fede went on an interesting tangent about so-called "walking games" which had nothing to do with tulpas but I still wanted to keep it, so I separated it: (15 minutes)

So I guess this is what mostly dead means. 5+ months between podcasts. It also means no more editing except for removing personal info. Prepare for drop in quality next episode!

Episode 8 - Enny Going in Circles:
Tulpaudcast Episode 8: Enny Going in Circles 2hr 51min

[Download as ogg or mpeg]

This episode, Enny recounts his difficulties with tulpas and his seeming inability to leave tulpa.info.

Episode 9 - That Other Guy:
Tulpaudcast Episode 9: That Other Guy 1hr 23min

[Download as ogg or mpeg]

For the very first in-person episode of tulpaudcast, I bring on Other Guy who has no idea what's going to be talked about when we start.

CONTENT WARNINGS: Horrible southern US accent.

There's some clipping, echoing, and odd cut-offs throughout the episode, sorry about that.

Also no licking could be heard when I listened back through, sorry Sad

Show Notes:

Episode 10 - Spooky Vampire, Loving Ivy, Crazy Raven, and Quiet Samuel:
Tulpaudcast Episode 10: Spooky Vampire, Loving Ivy, Crazy Raven, and Quiet Samuel 2hr 18min

RE: Tulpaudcast!
Not bad. At least it was interesting to hear about Melian's upbringing from Mistgod's perspective rather than through Melian's "musings" format, haha. As for the podcast itself, I'd recommend looking into how to clean the audio up a bit with Audacity. You can do a lot with just a few clicks.

I was thinking about doing something like this myself some time, but it looks like there's already a couple folks out there giving it a shot. Good luck!

Tulpa-creation is not a sprint, but a marathon, and you will eventually get to where you want to be.

RE: Tulpaudcast!
I did a lot of cleaning up in audacity, apparently not enough. Was it my voice, Mistgod's, or both?
I dunno if this is what you're referring to, but I was debating with myself on whether or not to remove all my "uh-huh"s and short giggles. The version up for download now has most of them.

Just listened to it - firstly wow that was really awesome to listen to- really enjoyed it actually. Secondly sound seemed fine to me on headphones - granted it's not studio level quality but then studios use equipment that is insanely expensive to get the clarity.

So when's the next one XD

I'm glad you liked it! I think the sound quality was really good too. My podcast host did a great job with the interview as well. He made me feel very comfortable and seems really friendly and genuinely interested in what I had to say! ~Mistgod
