Guest Anonymous October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 I am in no way affiliated with Dr. Samuel Veissière or the staff at McGill, but I will be attending this personally in a few months as I am flying to Montréal to follow my studies and some stuff on the side. This is a message from Dr. Samuel Veissière. It was posted on reddit (/r/tulpas)(yes anderson goes on reddit ahahahaha), but I figured that this community should also be informed of the status of his research, as it has good backing and whatnot. This person has written a very long and detailed paper. It is a very enjoyable read. https://www.academia.edu/13063918/Varieties_of_Tulpa_Experiences_The_Hypnotic_Nature_of_Human_Sociality_Personhood_and_Interphenomenality So I now have confirmed access to a neuroscience of dreaming lab in Montreal for a pilot EEG study of tulpamancers which would be conducted through the University of Montreal in partnership with McGill. In order to secure more funding for further studies, it would be very very helpful to be able to publish a neuroscience paper on tulpamancy. If there are any tulpamancers in the Montreal area or willing to travel to Montreal for a pilot study, we would be immensely helpful! Any prospective participants can get in touch with me at samuel.veissiere@mcgill.ca with Tulpa Neuro Study in the subject line. Thank you :) :) All tulpamancers who are serious are encouraged to at least contact Dr. Samuel Veissière at samuel.veissiere@mcgill.ca That is all. I think that this is an amazing opportunity to find out more about tulpas and how the truly function, and set the difference between imagination and sentience. I'm just posting this here because nobody else posted it so far, and thought spreading the word around. I'll be trying to contribute as much as I can, as I have documented a lot of stuff in the past years that would help out with Dr. Samuel's research. sushi October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 I'm nowhere near Montreal. Why can't they ever do these studies in DC? "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
Guest Anonymous October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 Or California?
Guest Anonymous October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 I also think that it would be more beneficial for everyone if they did this study in DC or Cali, or anywhere in the US because, well, as they said, a large part of the userbase resides in Europe and America, mostly in America (if you read Dr. Samuel's paper you'll notice statistics concerning where tulpamancers reside in majority), but since McGill took up an interest according to what I've read, and since this study is only really happening in cooperation of the University of Montréal and McGill (funnily enough I'll be studying at one of the two), I suppose that it cannot be helped. Luminesce October 23, 2015 Share October 23, 2015 Hey, there's nothing wrong with Reddit.. generally speaking. r/tulpas on the other hand scared me far, far away a long time ago. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
