vtk February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 Is "tupper" a proper synonym for tulpa, or is this just a common phone autocorrect / Swype error? Maggie David (she or they, birthday June 4)
Vos February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 It's just slang for tulpa that people often use jokingly.
jean-luc February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 You might even see people call them "tupperware", lol. I wonder where that came from. Also, as opposed to the stupid tulpae/"tulpas" debate, tupper has one agreed upon plural: tuppae. I don't visit as often as I used to. Despite the name, the host bodybody is the one usually using this account. Spice was born in 2013 and Tomoe was born in 2014.

Also, as opposed to the stupid tulpae/"tulpas" debate, tupper has one agreed upon plural: tuppae. Oh, you. That's the first time that "word" has ever been used on this site. https://i.imgur.com/8cDST11.png But anyways, somebody decided to corrupt tulpa as tupperware back in like.. probably as early as 2012. It wasn't even that uncommon to say "my tupperware" honestly. But it got shortened to tupper/tuppers, which even I use sometimes. Lucilyn uses it practically more than tulpa. I've never called my tulpas tupperware before, that's a very 2012-2013 thing, but yeah tupper is very common slang. Nothing more than that though. Hi! jean-luc February 24, 2018 Share February 24, 2018 So wait was it tulpa -> tupper -> tupperware or tulpa -> tupperware -> tupper? And yeah ofc it's the first usage, I spelled it wrong. Silly me. Should be tuppæ. I don't visit as often as I used to. Luminesce February 24, 2018 Share February 24, 2018 Tulpa, tupperware, tuppers. Pretty sure anyway. "Tupper" isn't a thing as far as I know, only tupperware, but I don't have time to check the etymology of tupperware at the moment Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Spice February 24, 2018 Share February 24, 2018 i remember tupperware being a common word in 2012/2013 but it seemed to be the same time as the word tupper was gaining traction, perhaps I misremember? Luminesce February 24, 2018 Share February 24, 2018 Oh, I mean tupperware was followed by tuppers possibly close to immediately, I just meant the idea to use the word tupperware did not come from tuppers.
