Useful information and Tulpa.info

I was reading one of Mistgod's many interesting threads, Thread . Reading the post reveals that there are many tulpamancers who don't post because they feel they have nothing useful(in the ways of info) to add. If useful information could all be placed into a large thread or something similar, that would help out the newbs, and most likely contribute to the longevity of Tulpa.info.

(Note: Articles are great and are an exponential help to us newbs, however combing through the research and metaphysical boards for hours, combing through for a single gold nugget of knowledge does not sound educational, and more sounds like a hassle.)

What are your thoughts on this?

Mistgod and Melian plan to make a resource type OP with links to interesting threads, grouped by subject and theme. It would be similar to Melian's Collection of Tulpa polls. That is one contribution we will have in this direction. Thanks for this!

In theory that's probably what the Guides section is for. Though we read a bunch of them and found them just messy, confusing and contradictory. There simply isn't a settled-upon set of answers to give people. You could try and do that, but guaranteed there'll be someone vigorously arguing their own unique spin on things and take it off in a different direction.

Early member of a large system.  Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact.  We genuinely suspect that deadies can return to share the mind of the living.

What the hell? It's just going to be our own list of our own favorite threads, grouped by subject. Jesus Christ who could argue that is a bad idea? If Melian and I make the list, no one has to read it. It will be our own personal list of favorite threads. Not really all that big of a deal.

EDIT: Sorry, did I misunderstand? Is the OP is a suggestion for a parallel set of guides?

Why does anyone fucking care though? Why do you get a thread dedicated to linking your fave threads?

You are not the lord god of tulpa.info. Just save them in a notepad document for your own use.

Wait, are we talking writing Guides or just making lists of interesting and useful threads? I see no reason why an individual member could not collect links to favorite useful threads into one OP and categorize them.

Because theres no reason for it. Use a notepad document for your own use. No one else cares or should care about what your fave threads are

People are too afraid to say anything, some ask dumb questions, then they're given answers and they stay quiet. Not enough people get past the newbie stage with enough confidence to go on and really talk in-depth about tulpas. I don't mind people "not contributing" much, if they're participating. Doesn't affect me, if I feel like something's being missed I'll fill them in myself. And participating enriches your overall experience, whether you actually contribute to others or not. And technically.. that means you're contributing to the greater whole.

So speak up you n00bs So don't be afraid to talk, because whether or not you think you're contributing, you're at least helping the forum stay active and not die. If no one asks real questions, the old members start to think they know everything and are "done." Gotta keep'em thinking.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

If we promote our own favorite threads in an organized way to newbies, they can find old information fast and easy and even ask older members for those kinds of lists. I think that is one idea I am going to definitely do to help.

No, we shouldnt direct newbies to threads. Making a tulpa is a very personal thing and if someone decides "Ill follow the Mistgod thread because hes clearly some kind of authority on tulpas since he gets his own thread" then they might not be doing whats right for them. They should be left to roam about and make their own choices on what to do and read.
