  1. Goals. Connection, continuity, growth. These can be read out looking at the drawings also. Primarily host’s point of view: We might not have consistent ultimate goals but the intermediate ones do match. We struggle with many basic things like maintaining sufficient energy and alertness following plans productivity, and communication. In particular, communication. ..Trying to improve. It just appears like these struggles are going to last for a lifetime. Also it might be that there is a fundamental flaw underlying the struggle. We are relying on an insufficient and unstable energy reserve. It would need to be fixed pretty much before everything else. Like: recurring shortage of neurotransmitters and other consumables. At the moment we are drifting or falling towards lower energy and trying to keep the good things. Following plans does not progress much. Spending time together is still enjoyable and that is something like 80 per cent or more of waking life. It is not short of affection intimacy and presence. These are not really reasons to complain. Shared dream seems to be no avail, to my disappointment, for a long time now. Then again, maybe sleep is much needed with split separate own time too. It is not necessarily a bad thing to have some time apart. The extended scribbling exercise is not entirely wasted effort either and it continues to be a nice thing to do together.. For example speed and drawing accuracy has been improving. A sketch can complete as fast as in 10 seconds in one continuous stroke without stopping once in hesitation. Speed could be useful for communication. Also the content can be really information dense but then again there is a problem with communication. For example why there are felines sea life and mushrooms I do not understand but they can be recognized as felines sea life and mushrooms nevertheless even if not understand.. When something new appears it is also exciting and a step ahead, although not always clear which way it is going.
  2. 2019. It has been a while. We have kept on drawing but there is a motivation problem. There is not much progress. She has not been into showing pictures so we didn't show any. It is more like backwards and forwards development and also like going in circles. Also I can stare my eyes sore at the wall covered with drawings without understanding anything better. Reoccurring and evolving patterns can be detected. Likelihood of pareidolia experience trying to find some meaning is fairly high.
  3. 2018-06-13 Back in Medium This time it is collaborative drawing exercise selecting and smudging colors and using the move tool. It may not be possible to separate her and my strokes in the result. The scene appeared close enough to her usual output and again I do not know what she was doing. Also her impression was quite happy with the result. Maybe we did not ruin the scene completely by working on it together. Pictures show the same scene from different angles. This is as close as we have got drawing in 3D collaboration. It is not trivial. Skills and experience are not easily transferable. 2D drawing with crayons (or usually felt tip markers) on paper can also be useful. That is our default habit drawing exercise which we still do every day, if possible. It is not once or twice her drawing shows something which I can easily visualize as refined into 3D. Even then though there might not be clue what the 3D version would be about and would it be of any use for her interpretation. There would be at least one thing to do which I think as likely useful for both of us. That one is trying to recreate our stub of wonderland. We do not really make much use of the wonderland other than visualizing together before sleep. The benefit of drawing it together would be we would both know approximately the same way what we try to do. Also it is a reasonably simple scene with a bench on a small beach under old oak trees dense foliage and high grass in every direction. Some more persuasion still needed but we are getting closer. Might be something of interest for other people too, although in our near autistic relationship this probably is one of the least concerns.
  4. 2018-04-15 Another take in Kingspray (Have to admit still no idea what she's doing. Seems to know how to handle spraycan though without much assistance. )
  5. 2018-04-10 Switching from Medium to Kingspray
  6. 2018-02-06 Another week later..
  7. 2018-01-28 3D graffiti, part two. A week later..
  8. 2018-01-20 3D graffiti, part one. There appears to be a tendency to fall back to drawing in 2D, even when in 3D space. Her spray on my walls. Also plenty of collaboration and confusion happening. For example finding a required button and squeezing the trigger for the right amount for the right amount of time is (was) a bit too much co-ordination at the same time for drawing something as intended.
  9. Getting something for show takes usually longer than expected. This time it was half a year. Longer than I would have guessed in any case. 3D exercises. Early 2018, likely. The exact date is lost because the app Kodon VR reinstalled itself and took our asset library with it. It may look like a bug. Likelihood for this interpretation to stay is higher because some things resembling bugs also appeared earlier (e.g. day Day 95 Earlier in this thread.)
  10. Seeing dragons Most likely exercises in 3D space are not over. More to come. In the meanwhile there are couple things which are both useful as exploits of the human perception system and also something to double check against. Pareidolia apophenia, and the risk of overinterpretation. Searches for these exact terms within all open forums of community.tulpa.info as of writing this returned nothing. A surprising result. It is also possible people use different words to write about these. Maybe many are really unaware if it is happening or even want to forget about possibility of illusory perceptions being - just illusory. Something I for example detect many times a day even though also the opposite conclusion is common, not illusory, there is something there. Pareidolia -perception recognizing familiar pattern, when none exists Apophenia - tendency of assigning meaning and identifying connections between events and things when there is no meaning or no connections Overinterpretation -To attach too much importance to an interpretation Okay, the case of dragons. A dragon is a nice example because dragons in the fantasy realm are known by many people in different cultures. Dragons come in different sizes and shapes. There may or may not be a common origin. Some of the drawings appear to be portraying a dragon without doubt (my perception). The interesting thing related about it: These drawings seem not to be out of a common pattern or of a common shape either and really there is no way for me to know without asking if other people would see dragons, too. The chances are the perception of a dragon originates from something else than the features of the picture. At least pareidolia is partially to thank for. Also it may be there is some other information flowing in by other mostly unknown connections not always waking up awareness where the information came from.
  11. (2017-04-09) Drawing after trying out Touch controllers for drawing in virtual reality for the first time (2017-12-01) The return, trying out sculpting in VR again Most of the time there are doubts what the drawings and the evolving scribble are about. One exception, for me, was identifying close connections with shared experiences earlier. It was this picture after trying out virtual sculpting. Two hands, one controller in each. Controller rays, selected virtual object and some other objects. Without knowing the context and this explanation the drawing probably makes not much sense to anyone just looking at the drawing. Without knowing what happened before it is not possible to extract the information encoded there in the drawing. On top of this I can conclude like: a Meaningful experience most likely because she chose to draw about it. Then again this is self-referential and erring with this one can be a branching point for yet more misguided interpretations. It is also something funny after the first try we stick with pen and paper and sometimes touchscreen tablet before revisiting again two days ago. Was it like interesting but not better, then? Another interesting thing lately was Microsoft's photo viewer application attacking our drawing collection with automatic image content recognition AI . Pictures were given labels like "Portrait" "Vechile" "Outdoors" and so on which most of the time were something else what I was seeing in the drawings. For example day 114 was related to Food and Bread while my/our perception was more like "a face with tongue out, glasses on, colored hair". The mushroonish shape from previous set was identified by software as "portrait" which appears strange at least. Yet it may stilll be a portrait as well even if it is a portrait of a mushroom. On the other side VR seems to be a different story. Snapshots in the virtual reality were recognized as flower and sculpture which match the perception. Then again the set is too small to make definitive conclusions at this point. Also the middle one picture which looks certainly like a flower to me is not detected as anything at all. It may be image recognition has its flaws or our collection is too otherworldly for the feature identification and classification to work properly. Nevertheless, a second opinion is sometimes useful to have when in doubt. Is it imagination or is there a familiar pattern there? If there are several patterns then which of them come out in automatic classification.
