  1. I told mine just because I was excited and wanted to tell someone (I explained the concept first, but only terribly). It was really awkward and she kept going back to dissociative identity disorder (which I don't blame her for). She also pointed out that maybe all the traits Brook has are the ones I wish I had myself. I think that's probably true.
  2. Burning, from what I've read, tulpae vary just as much as humans do, so there probably isn't any definite answer on whether a tulpa would like it or not, just like there's not a definite answer on whether a person will be accepting of a nickname or not. It probably also depends on what the nickname is/what their actual name is.
  3. I am aware of this, also what Din said after you. I've known for quite some time, just had a bit of trouble actually doing it.
  4. Female/Female. Almost made a male when I first started, not that it counts for anything.
  5. Usually when I'm reading to my tulpa, I imagine myself sitting next to Brook in my wonderland, holding the book in front of me and reading it out loud to her (while reading it in my head in real life). I'd say it's just as productive as narrating. However, I have to be reading a book I've already read before, otherwise I get lost in it and forget that I'm supposed to be talking to Brook.
  6. http://imgur.com/YuQOJ ...This is Brook. Disclaimer: This doesn't really look that much like her at all. OTL She's slimmer, her hair is wavy, her skin isn't bleached white, among other things, eh. WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY? YOU WANT TO SEE HER DRAGON FORM? I'm tired, maybe tomorrow..
  7. Human form is about "a head taller than me", not sure how tall that is, but I'm about 5' 2". I'm thinking she might be taller, though. I come up to to around the middle or the top of her shoulder in her dragon form, but that's pretty tentative, too.
  8. I'm trying to make her very accepting and generally takes a liking to people unless they have bad intentions, plus, although she is nowhere near sentience, I already care about her a lot, so she should probably end up liking me...
  9. I don't think it's cheating, since unlike Googling the answers or something, one works for tens - possibly hundreds of hours - to create a tulpa, which makes it more fair than an eidetic memory (which one doesn't have to work for) in my eyes. However, I think one should at least attempt to learn the material and not rely entirely on your tulpa, especially on the chance that you should ever dissipate it.
  10. Reading all of this almost makes me want a slender man, rake, or Jeff the Killer tulpa.. Or maybe a Skin Taker tulpa that would just start screaming at random times. It'd be bad ass... Not that I'd ever actually do this, haha. Also, thatoneguy, marblehornets = yes. By the way, a long time ago, I heard about someone who was making a purple crystal with wings as a tulpa.
  11. Thankfully I have an open-minded friend and friend of said friend who both took it very well and are now in the creation process. However, they wanted to tell another person and I reluctantly assisted, since it was two-to-one. That person seemed very weirded out about it and it seems that she either thinks we're all being tricked into some hoax, or it's not a good idea. Hopefully we will be able to prove that they are real/that they are beneficial in a few months, although I'd rather not deal with any person who isn't open-minded about it from the start.
  12. I voted "tulpas", but I use it just as much as I use "tulpae".

  14. My tulpa is a dragon that turns into a human, and not the other way around, which I think is pretty cool (not to mention the fact that she transforms, but we'll see if that can actually happen when she's completed). Since her "canon" is that she has only been with humans for around a couple years, she's interested in human culture, since it's so different from her own. Also, I'm making her adventurous/enthusiastic to try new things, so hopefully she'll be willing to perform experiments with things like posession.
  15. I don't know if this is annoying or funny, but I never wanted a wonderland, but I have one anyway. I used to just imagine her in blackness, but then I started to imagine her in fields and sitting on this white-painted, faded, old wooden bench, and before I knew it I somehow had a wonderland. :| It's the bench described in a field right up against where a forest starts, with more forest in front of and to the right of the bench, but with a big downward slope to the left, with mountains past that in the distance. The side with the slope is west where the sun sets. Recently, I've been designing a house for her that is a small log cabin on the outside and is tucked into the woods on the right side. I haven't had time to design very much of the house, though, so it isn't complete. I can say that the carpet is long, lush, tan carpet that feels great under bare feet.
