  1. Reina went through about... 5 or so makeovers of her form. She started with a placeholder I gave her, something to have till she makes her own decisions. She grew out of it rather quickly, and in a few weks she altered it into a form that suited her. After another few weeks, she grew tired of being smaller than me (the form was a pony, about Doberaman dog in size) and switched her form to anthro mode, which she enjoyed for a month or so. Unfortunately, I had issues visualising some finer details of it, along with the insane amount of clothing she changed several times per day (good thing she never bothered with "boring" stuff like actually going to a wardrobe, she just clicked her fingers and "magically" got a new getup every time she wanted), so Reina decided to try something new, and adopted a look of Raven from the Teen Titans cartoon. However, it made her feel differently and she didn't like it, which led to a human form of her own design. Since it shared all the pros and cons of that anthro form she had earlier, but to her, it felt much more like her own achevement than altering some base I gave her, she experimented with it for quite some time, I recall. At some point thugh, she felt burned out from all the changes and fine details, and... picked a form of a... basiacally a plant: lots of tangled, thorny branches arranged in a bush, with a huge, blood red rose on top of it. The plant was in a gloomy forest of sorts, with a single beam of light aimed at the flower. She has a thing for roses, you see. I recall she was rather bitter about forms at that time, and very condescending even by her own snarky standards but, eventually, she went past that phase and, oddly enough, switched back to her first self made form - a pony. Nowadays she's cool with it, thankfully, but I would be fine with any form of her choosing as long as I could visualise it, really.
  2. It took us a week or so of late night Internet browsing, looking at all kinds of names starting with an "R" that were "cool" in her view but, she settled on what appears to be a spanish name, meaning "Queen" of all things: Reina. It was one of those moments when you walk into a store and you see that one thing and you want it more than anything else in the world... Although my memory may be patchy, it was quite a big moment for her as a tulpa who was just making her first independent decisions. At first it as a bit funny but, nowadays it kind of suits her bossy personality and hair trigger temper. Good thing she doesn't have a court, or she would surely have a Royal Executioner on speed dial.
  3. Usually, I just.... think about her, really. A moment of concentration on her essence and a simple question on the topic I wished to talk about proves sufficient in most cases. Since Reina often shows up on her own accord, and, as she puts it, doesn't have much stuff to do anyway, she's already present, just silent. Or, like a lazy security guard in the monitoring station, "reads a newspaper" instead of "looking at the monitors" - meaning doing something else and not paying attention to me or the outerworld but still remaining close enough to switch her focus in a moment. If she were more developed intersts-wise and had her own favourite activities, it may have been different as she could be engrossed in them. Oh and, very rarely, it takes repeated attempts of the described technique if she's really not paying attention to me.
  4. Hi, I'm Raven (not my birth name but it's my universal handle and nickname), and I'm not drinking since... no, wait, wrong forum. I've been aware of the tulpa phenomemon since over a hear, maybe year and three months tops. Ever since I've been introduced to them on another forum, I was curious and read quite a lot on the subject, then pondered long and hard until I decided that, yeah, I could provide the needed space for a second person in my head. Thus began our journey, just over a year ago. I have one tulpa, though she may object and say it's the other way around... Her name is Reina, a spanish name we found one late, late evening while she wanted me to show her good names to choose from. Took us a week till she settled on something, but it suits her. it means Queen in spanish, BTW. And yes, she made me join the forum too, but, demanding as she may be, I know she means the best - in this case, to enrich our coexistence by learning from others. Even though it's been a year, we stil have a ways to go. I reckon the process of creation and refinement never really ends, but, we do feel like there's still room for improvement. Like the voice, just to name the most immediate area that needs more attention. All in all, I am very satisfed that I made the decision and sticked to it. Despite previously beng quite content on my own, she makes life that much more interesting.
