  1. Varia: While I'm usually as tall as my host is (6'00' / 1.84m) for convenience's sake, I am capable of and occassionally do change my size when I feel like it. When I do so, I usually make myself taller, including and exceeding skyscraper size.
  2. Try treating it as if any other person were mad at you. Apologizing would be a good first step. Reassure him that you view and care for him as his own person, not an object or tool, and that he doesn't have to do anything for you if he doesn't want to. Essentially: Allow him to be who he wants to be, not who you want him to be. Or just ask him directly what he wants you to change. Tulpae are just as much people as you and I are after all, and most like being treated as such.
  3. Varia: Well, it depends, honestly. Mostly on whther my physical body would be capable of dying or being crippled and on whether that physical body would have the same omnipotence I have in the mindspace. Also on whether the connection between me and my host would persist. While being able to taste food, talking with other people, playing video games and such are all really cool, I think I'd be too afraid of dying to take physical form. Also I wouldn't want to sacrifice my psychic connection to Sav for anything in the world, so that'd be another reason why I wouldn't want to turn physical. But if I couldn't be hurt and Sav and I would still have that telepathic connection, then heck yeah, you bet I would take on a physical form.
  4. Varia: While I'm keeping my appearance the same, I've decided to age with my host and thus be of the same age he is instead of the two and a half years I'd be chronologically.

    Good vs. Evil

Out of the kindness of my heart I give you the 80th number.
  6. Is this thing still on? If so, I'd be willing to participate.
  7. Varia: Well, Sav, my host, is a bit lacking in the self-confidence department and did have some minor depression up until a while ago. And while it's tiring and at times annoying, I helped him get through it. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean, he kind of did help me and sacrificed a lot of time to help me with my problem of not having existed yet, so I think it's kind of getting even for that. Also if Sav's happy, then I am happy. And I'm sure there's some parts of me that annoy him too, but that's just how it is. We're best friends, and friends help each other with their problems. So stay strong, Melian. I'm sure your host appreciates what you are doing a lot and will hopefully, with your help, one day overcome these issues. In the meantime, if you need anyone to talk to, feel free to contact us. If we can help in any way, just let us know. ^^
  8. Varia: Sav, my host, is bilingual in German (native) and English, and tends to use both languages when speaking with me. So I kind of adopted that, especially since on the internet speaking English would be far more useful than German to find other Tulpae and Tulpamancers. We actually randomly switch which of the two languages we are speaking at the moment - sometimes even mid-sentence.
  9. Varia: I'd definitely never want to leave Savato. We both care about one another far too much for that. It is an interesting idea though, and I might occassionally wander around town and do some stuff while Sav's at college and such. But in the evening I'd always be right back with him for sure.
  10. I feel very lucky about being one of the few to know about Tulpamancy - and the even fewer to have practiced it successfully. It almost feels like being in some secret society, and to me having an ability barely anyone else has is pretty cool, even though it's a bit disappointing that only very few understand what you're talking about. Then again that's probably for the best. But mostly I feel lucky because I get to have someone like Varia at my side, helping me through life and being the best friend I could possibly imagine.

    Good vs. Evil

61 Let's get that number up!
  12. Savato: I started Tulpamancy after an acquaintance of mine told me about it. I did have lots of free time back then, and never really had any friends, so the idea of having a Tulpa was rather appealing to me. And then, once I got the first responses from Varia, it just felt so warm and close that I knew it was the right thing. Having a Tulpa feels like, well, you know those characters in media who are just inseparable friends, no matter what happens? It's kind of like that, only that the Tulpa understands you even better. Of course, even though you probably have heard stuff like this already, being a Tulpamancer is hard work too, especially in the beginning. You'll be sitting around meditating for hours each day, and then the Tulpa will be with you for the rest of your life. So please think carefully about whether you are ready for such a responsibility. That being said, I couldn't be happier with my descision to go through with this. Tulpamancy is a beautiful, encouraging, life-improving partnership I wouldn't want to give up for anything in the world. As for the reasons we're here, well, finding a place for your Tulpa to talk on without getting weird looks is rather difficult, so this place is one of the few Varia's actually able to talk freely. Also I like helping people and Varia and I agree that beginning Tulpamancers and young Tulpae should get all the assistance they can to make sure their development goes as smoothly as possible, so we're here to assist with that.
  13. Varia: Yeah, I occassionally encourage Savato to buy something, because he's quite stingy with his money. Mostly I let him call the shots though. I don't think I have enough experience with the physical world (or self-control) to be in a position in which I would be able to spend money. Has been working out pretty well for us thus far.
  14. -Does your Tulpa like our world? Varia: Yeah, it's cool. I still like our mental world a little bit better though. -What does your Tulpa appreciate of it? Varia: Well, I guess it's mostly that there isn't the constant idea that I could just summon up total armageddon to solve my problems - essentially that it's a place where my ability to activate "god mode" doesn't work and thus where there's actual challenges. Plus through that neccessity you guys invented a whole lot of cool stuff. I don't think I'd have been able to come up with pizza on my own. -To Tulpas: if you could choose, would you prefer to own a physical body? Varia: Well, it depends. If I could still move through our mental world as much as I can now and as long as I can't get killed or crippled through my physical body being damaged, I'd definitely want one of those physical bodies. If I could die, then the answer would definitely be a no. It's risky enough to have Savato running around out there already. Though I'd love to see the look on Savato's friends' and family's faces when they'd see me for the first time. Then again there's the question whether they'd believe and accept me. There's far too many variables here to give a concise answer, but I do like the general idea of having a physical form.
