  1. Past hour
  2. Are there 2 redacted systems? The 2019 one says that they've moved on, but an account with the same name posted an imposition pr a couple months back.
  3. Today
  4. I was gonna add a sheesh to that first post, but I hesitated a bit when posting and decided to skip out on it, even though I should’ve because 40 consecutive hours definitely deserves that sheesh I guess it all worked out in the end because there’s always extra last-postingness to go around Sometimes I forget that the conversation is a game, and other times it comes as second nature
  5. even though this first game is taking a lot longer, there's no way we'd personally be able to complete a game in under 20 hours (unless we tried to speedrun it) we do care about details slightly too much but I still think this game is just ridiculously long per game and there's still soooo many things we want to do in future games
  6. {Hello hello, thought I should introduce myself cause y'know, you all have read about me but never heard anything from me directly. To sum it up, Abvieon is an overthinking machine and I never really got to front much because he'd always second guess everything and hog control. All that really had to happen was for him to stop thinking about it so much, and bam. Having someone directly address me also helps a lot, and he wasn't really in a good situation for that to occur in the past. Soo... hi. I'm Alex.}
  7. Woah! And I thought a full game of Civ was long at 10 to 15 hours!
  8. for reference on why I'm posting so little currently 40 hours logged in Age of Wonders 4 and I have yet to complete our first game lol later ones won't be so long of course because most of that time was spent reading info panels, all the spell books, learning all the mechanics etc. but like, they will still be very long lol
  9. Did some Minecrafting today; I laid out the perimeter for the indoor pool room which is going to be done in a modernist style to contrast with the colonial style of the main part of the mansion. There will then be walkways on the sides and going up the hill with little out-buildings; those will be done up in a medieval-meets-gilded-age way, eventually leading to a tower on the rock overlooking the sea. Not sure what style I'll go for on that yet. Gosh I hope I don't sound pretentious talking like this. πŸ˜„ I kind of wonder if there has been/will be scholarly interest in Minecraft architecture, because I believe in addition to adapting real-world styles there are also distinct styles unique to Minecraft that don't have a real-world analogue. πŸ€”
  10. Yuka was here yesterday Goodfight
  11. Yesterday
  12. Yes And my friend made me watch them kill awakened one by doing 2 net damage per turn because they had an "infinite" that gave them tons of block but wasn't a real infinite because they had to end their turn a bunch, but each turn they could play flash of steel twice, which does 7 damage, so 14, and mercury hourglass does 3, so 17 damage a turn, and awakened one heals 15 hp a turn... it was a little more at first because they had trip to keep it vulnerable, but they exhausted trip by accident so that more than doubled the length that took, which it was already going to take a long time They ended up beating the heart by finding a sundial in the last shop so they could do a real infinite with a more damaging card. closer to a real infinite anyway, it required exhausting a limited amount of cards to continue I think lol
  13. Good evening! 😁 Nepeta was here???
  14. we should I should, since I'm fronting so long to play new vidya games
  15. Well you've definitely been missed. I'm glad to hear you're all doing well. I hope the birthday night is super festive.
  16. we never took notes until college where our history class said we like 99% needed to we tried but honestly it's impossible to actually process anything while you're writing tons of information down, and reading it after never felt as good as just paying attention in the moment we eventually started only writing core facts like names&dates down and it was more doable, but to be honest I think there's no time where taking notes should ever be necessary for any schooling best is paying full attention during a lecture and then reviewing the material in existing form from elsewhere after, like the teacher's own materials online (they often provided slides/etc. in the college class portal), a textbook, or even just googling or something (but probably a textbook lol) forcing people to take notes is inefficient, and honestly if your lecture is some advanced PhD stuff with information that doesn't readily exist elsewhere, they should just record video or audio of the lecture no excuses!!
  17. Hi Simmie! Yeah Bear spent the first few years he had his system just visualizing in wonderland 30 minutes a day not to mention any other time he'd talk to them. My old self got part of that and it was fun, especially the imposition on his walks, but he stopped it a couple years ago because after all that training it got super-real and we were all self-forcing by then anyway. Well one thing that didn't matter was playing games like Rimworld with all of us as pawns so this D&D is a lot like that but with visualization. It's definitely exercising visualization so it might get "too real" again but he doesn't think so because he's using references for our characters but anyway who cares it's super fun and worth a tiny bit of discomfort when listening to violent news or whatever. So his visualization wasn't great in 2018, it was fine for shapes but not for people. It was 20% real or something and he couldn't even visualize a whole body at once let alone motion or faces or expressions and all that built up painfully slowly like a 3% a month. It got up to super-real after three years of daily practice and since then it calmed down to 80-90% over a two year period of limited use, but in the last two weeks it's up to 100% again. At the peak, the brain could sustain 12 or so independent thoughtforms before the frame-rate dropped. And I know ir doesn't matter when we're documenting it as we go as SheShe is doing because the action is going 50wpm right? Which is a quarter what someone could comfortably read and slow compared to active visualization at any rate so if you wrote it in a story on the fly I doubt you'd have that issue. Thanks for stopping by!
  18. Reminds me of my old APHuG class. Man am I glad to be free of that. The class itself was pretty fun, though >The kid who doesn't study Definitely couldn't be me. Totally. I have just that on the brain. For my town, I was opting for either an Eastern oriental feel, or a pseudo-medieval one. Maybe I can combine the two There's a taiga right by the area, which means villagers AND foxes as the inhabitants
  19. Oh goodness the Simmie to-do list is getting longer and longer! I've been meaning to write a progress report about James for, gosh, probably months now. πŸ˜… There are topics I want to respond to. Other people's PR entries I want to catch up on. And DMs I still need to respond to! The mental focus and energy is not always there, and when it is, it's very often the case that neither Phil nor I have much control over where it is directed. Such is the way with a (probable) ADHD brain. I do want to mention that James' first birthday is already fast arriving!!!!! πŸ˜πŸ’šβ€οΈ He will turn 1 year old on April 7, which is the Sunday after next, which I recently realized is night 2 of WrestleMania, so that's a really neat coincidence this year! 😁 We'll be able to have a birthday/WrestleMania party together! 😁 It's quite shocking to me that he is already a year old! I know this is cliche to say, but it really does feel like he was just born yesterday. πŸ₯°πŸ‘Ά Right now we are only going off of about 4 hours sleep so brain no think smart thoughts good. πŸ˜„ So this is about all I can manage as an update for now!
