  1. Hello, everyone. I'll be logging our practice and progress with imposition here. As a brief introduction, I'm Yuka and I'm here with my two tulpas, Aya and Ruki. I've been wanted to work actively on imposition for some time now, but I struggled to make the time and put in the effort. I would get hyped up, spend some time and then peter off and stop. I'd try to do a session and find myself unbearably restless and bored. I think I've found a solution to the problem... I think if I approach imposition like meditation, then something like boredom or distraction just becomes a "time to refocus" moment instead of an excuse to stop. I have a number of methods I'll be using, outlined below. Methods Static and visual snow: As a way to start seeing things in space, I started by looking at static (https://www.shadertoy.com/view/XlXcW4), and would pick out lines and shapes. Lines and balls of swirling static are easy to pick out. With practice I could rotate lines, create wide tubes receding into the "distance" and other various shapes. After doing this for a while I was able to do the same with the visual snow I see with closed eyes or on a blank background. I was able to project a transparent outline of a figure from the shoulders up and rotate this. Blindfolded sight: In which I cover my eyes with a blackout sleep mask or close my eyes, and try to see irl objects such as my hands, pens, or imaginary objects. I try to track the objects in 3 dimensions. This can piggy back off of the static work, using a static bar for the pen, which I then move around to match the movement of the real pen. VR or visual references: I made tulpa forms in VRoid and uploaded the .glb files to Gravity Sketch as a basic setting to view the models at life size. The non VR way, is just view and rotate the 3d models or look closely at 2d images of tulpa forms. Air sculpting: Q2's huggable tulpa guide. Place tulpa form in irl space and view them, visualize them, pat them down, walk around them while viewing from different angles. Overlay Visualization: I visualize a tulpa (letting them control themselves) in irl space, and try to see them there in detail. I'll watch them do whatever they decide to do, chat with them while doing so if I want. Keeps things more fun that way. Combining methods: I can get an synergy from combining these in strategic ways, such as viewing a 3D model in VR, then removing the headset, closing my eyes and air sculpting. Then do air sculpting with eyes open. Another good combination is blindfolded sight followed by air sculpting. 2. So I mentioned wanting to start an imposition PR. One thing holding me back is I worry that I won't be able to stick to it. But besides that I wondered, is there something people would like to see in an imposition PR? I could try to include whatever it may be
  3. No clue what people are talking about but good morning
  4. Also 10 words a day is normal and sane. I'm just crazy and instead of studying consistently over time, I cram until I burnout and stop for ages. It's the whole tortoise and hare thing.
  5. I'm a lot slower than that with my reviews. The thing with anki is, your reviews are scheduled for when you're close to forgetting a word (for optimal efficiency), so for a lot words I'm like, uhhhhhh... oh it's ____. I also can't miss a day or I'll have a ridiculous amount to do. I've had a lot of trouble sticking with anki in the past. When I started Korean, I was writing word lists and making paper flashcards. But that became too much of a hassle to keep up with so I switched to anki. It's worth it in a lot of ways so I hope I can stick to it. Also I need to read more.
  6. I did that too, ha ha. But I quit after 3 days because I didn't have time for Toki Pona.
  7. (I'll continue since this is my area and I'm switched in now) Vocab is super important. I see people often recommend learning 20 new words a day, and I'm the crazy who does 60 a day. I've done more a day in the past but it's easy to burn out and keeping up with that does cut into my reading time. Reading will let you see words in context though, which will give you context, nuance, and of course, you just learn the language better that way. So compare studying 100 words (new and old) in flashcards in a day, to reading thousands of words in a short story, the latter gives you a lot more. @Ashley oops I didn't think that'd be a problem
  8. We've been on discord this whole time, but sometimes I get fed up with some servers and check/post less. Alright, maybe I will get us organized for an imposition PR and leave our old PR as historical.
  9. Hi everyone👋 I kinda wish we could start an imposition PR too. We already have an old PR we'd rather leave buried and untouched, and I think there's only 1 PR allowed per system?
  10. I don't have aphantasia, but many people with aphantasia or very poor visualization ability have made tulpas. They just don't have mental imagery of their tulpas. Instead they talk to them in mindvoice, and probably utilize switching more to give their tulpas opportunities to do more/live life. I also know a few people who had aphantasia and learned to visualize. For some it took months of practice before they could see any imagery and longer to consistently visualize well, but they still did it.
  11. I'm approving of this guide because it made me laugh, and that's the most important aspect of a tulpa creation guide.
  12. Yes, that's your tulpa. Give her more than a split second to think her responses and she'll be able to say longer more thoughtful things. It will feel a lot like you thinking because you share a brain, but it'll be her thoughts from her point of view. Just keep assigning those thoughts to her and she'll get stronger and she'll feel more distinct. But, if she seems to say something random/intrusive/out of character, you can discard that thought. Sometimes the brain generates stuff that's not helpful and doesn't really belong to anyone if you don't want it to. The exercise Ranger suggested sounds really good.
