  1. Maybe give the "dreamland" stratagy a try? I've been doing this for the past few days and I find it makes it easier to focus on my Tulpa if we're in some sort of setting rater then just floating in a void or whatever. It just makes everything seem more "real" to me somehow. Also I wouldn't worry too much about what your tulpa looks like just yet, I was also doing this on my first day of forcing, but I eventually figured that trying to force a form wasn't as important as actually putting energy into the tulpa (which I have been doing mostly by narrating) I hope that makes sense....I'm still really new to this as well, but I feel this has been working pretty well for e so far, so I thought I'd share. Best of luck to you.
  2. At 4 days in, I am finding that I usually force for about a 30 minutes to a hour every night at around 7-9. I'm trying to go for at LEAST an hour every time, but I have kind of a hard time maintaining my focus for that long in one sitting. I do make an attempt to " feel" my Tulpa's presence in my mind throughout the day, and will occasinally make comments to it, but I don't really consider that forcing since I'm not really concentrating hard on it at the time.
  3. o.O oh I misinterpreted you there, sorry. I'm still reading and rereading all of the guides. This is quite a lot of information to take in.
  4. I am just starting out, and at the moment, no one knows. I may tell a few close friends at some point in the future, but honestly, I don't think it's very likely. All but the ost open minded of people would just dismiss the whole idea of a tulpa as fantasy or some mental defect =(
  5. 1. This was really my main concern. Thanks for putting my fears to rest. I'll be sure to dedicate a good amount of time to everything 2. Cool. That's what I thought after reading the topics on here, but I wanted to be sure. 3. OK, I think I'll just stick to narrating in my dreamland and not give much thought to the parroting. As long as I'm not stressing out over it, I don't think it will happen to often anyway. 4. This might be a little difficult seeing as how prominant tulpa's are in my mind right now, but I can will do my best to only interact while I am actually focused. Thanks for the info, Waffles =)
  6. Hello everyone. New user here (Sorry, I'm sure you are getting pretty tired of all the new people by now.) I heard about the whole Tulpa thing a while ago, and, assumeing it was just another internet fad cooked up by the folks over at 4chan, decided not to look too much into it. This proved impossible to do however, the seeds of curiosity had been planted and one google search later, here I am. After discovering this site and reading some guides and posts, I was sold on the idea of creating a Tulpa. I did have some doubts and fears (still do actually), but the idea of a life long companion, combined with my over active imagination and obsession with all things "weird" have pretty much won out. At this point, I am pretty set on creating a Tulpa. As of right now I am on my third day of activly forcing. And this is where I really would like some feedback from people with some actual experience. I'm not sure how my forcing sessions are going. On the first day, following FAQ Man's guide, I tried to keep my mind strictly on emotions and traits. Honestly I don't think I did a very good job that first time. I came up with a few very basic traits that I would like my Tulpa to have (Frinedly, Loyal, Cheerful, Mischievous stuff like that) but that was about it. On the second day (day 2) I decided that it would be much easier to come up with some traits if I gave my Tulpa some actual form. I tried to just let an image form in my hed and came up with some generic anime-style chick. I did find it easier to work on personality now that there was a base form, but I am afraid that I may have split my concentration between form and personality too much to really accomplish anything. I also started talking to the Tulpa (in my head) and parroting responses back at myself....and I started trying to imagine the tulpa following me around. Later in the day, after rereading Irish's guide, I decided to take a different, more focused approach, pictureing my tulpa and I in a dreamland (no longer worried about form, I just pictured it as a foggu outline sitting across from me) I spent some time just narrating, no longer bothering with the parroting. So far I have done nothing at all tulpa related today (other then posting this) My day has been pretty stressful and I would really like to get some feedback from you guys before I go any further with my forcing. TLDR? here's the short version. Decided to make a Tulpa after thinking it over for a while Started forcing Day 1: Came up with a few very basic traits Day 2: Gve Tulpa a body so as to make personality easier, Parroted, imposed a little, felt like I was biteing off more then I could chew, stopped parroting and created wonderland where I just narrated. Day 3: Nothing yet. My questions: 1. Is it alright to work on more then one aspect at once? (personality and form, or work on my dream land while narratng to tulpa ) 2. Is it alright to decide on a Tulpa's gender early on (I'm trying to make a female tulpa, and no not for any nasty perverted reasons.) 3. Should I simply narrate? or parrot back responses 4. Is it alright to just talk to the tulpa in your head if you aren't really concentrating on it? Well, that's it for now. Sorry if this turned out to be a long run-on post. I was originally planning on putting it in the progress log section, but I figure I'd get more imput here and that's what I am really looking for at the moment. Plus this seems like a better place to introduce myself =p
