  1. I've moved you over to General Discussion, as this thread doesn't really fit in the research board ( http://community.tulpa.info/thread-about-the-research-board ). Also... Strattera, eh? Have fun! And it does take some time to build up in the body. I hope it works for you; be sure to speak your mind if you start feeling anything you don't like... I personally think there are better medications out there, but you might find that Strattera works for you. My best to you, -Biotech
  2. Debatable. Here's a few things I can think of. I would say that because you see your dream self as a separate entity to you that it isn't progress, as you're not reinforcing your tulpa truly being alive and active to yourself, but putting everything your tulpa did down to this dream self. Also I don't see the fact that you weren't conscious of being in a dream helping you much, as you want to be able to experience your tulpa being that active while you're awake and aware, not while you're unaware that you're dreaming. I think this because when you're dreaming, you're not thinking logically and thinking completely like the way you do fully awake. Dreams are also fairly hard to remember for most people; unless they have practiced keeping a dream journal. To me, not being fully awake lessens any experience I have with my tulpa, as I want to experience my tulpa while I'm fully awake and what I consider to be my real self.
  3. Are we talking about person/plurals like... 1st person: I 2nd person: You 3rd person: He, she, it, and they ??
  4. This thread is going to be locked to increase post count in other areas of the forum. I'll now be the last person to post. *cough* yup, it's now locked *cough*
  5. http://www.tulpa.info/archive/faqman-creation-guide/ >This all took me a total of 130 hours: over the course of 2.5 months, 2-3 hours a day 5 days a week. >Personality... Think up around 30-15 traits, and think about each trait in relation to your tulpa for 15-30 minutes. >Visualization... You should spend from 5-15 hours on it. >Touch... Again, this step should take around 5-15 hours. There’s no skimping out here. >Smell... 3-10 hours on this step, says I. >Gestures and Body Language... Put a good 5-10 hours into this step. >Subsequent Tulpaforcing... Ideally from 1 to 3 hours a day. >Sentience, Narration and Voice... Note that it takes 25 or so hours (usually more) for this to happen. >Imposition... Work on seeing, touching, smelling the tulpa in your peripheral vision, don't rush it. Once you can do this easily, start imagining your tulpa in front of you daily, for a couple hours. Talking, and doing whatever you do.
  6. Really beautiful. It isn't that hard to find a download link for it too. Here's one thread that I can remember that talked about it if you're interested. Just thought I'd bring it up again for those unfamiliar with it. Just a little summary of what's in it: >What follows is 16 years of the psychoanalyst's dive into the unconscious mind, a challenge to what he considered Sigmund Frued's — his former mentor's — isolated world view. Far from a simple narrative, the Red Book is Jung's voyage of discovery into his deepest self. >Thirty years later, Jung had a bookbinder make an enormous volume covered in red leather into which he poured his explorations into himself. These explorations included some of mythical characters of his dreams and waking fantasies — explorations that Jung feared would make people think him mad. I've had another look at his meditation technique active imagination again recently, and it's not that bad to use. It's pretty amazing just how creative this technique can be, as you don't have to just sit there and try visualizing whatever it is you're working on. Visualization, dancing, painting and even 2spooky automatic writing are all ways of letting the mental entities that you have come to life and communicate with you. The trick to it is to allow things to come naturally and try keep yourself from trying to influence what is being produced. That being said you still have to treat these mental entities as something real by investing yourself completely into it. You need to have authentic reactions towards anything that comes and let it develop without directly controlling it like a puppet. This helped me a bit with working out a good way for me to tulpaforce. Here's something from wikipedia about it: >As developed by Carl Jung between 1913 and 1916, active imagination is a meditation technique wherein the contents of one's unconscious are translated into images, narrative or personified as separate entities. It can serve as a bridge between the conscious 'ego' and the unconscious and includes working with dreams and the creative self via imagination or fantasy. Jung linked Active Imagination with the processes of alchemy in that both strive for oneness and inter-relatedness from a set of fragmented and dissociated parts. This process ultimately resulted in the Red Book.
  7. Oh my god this is hilarious and absolutely terrifying at the same time. Please keep it up.
  8. So much anger in here hahaha. If people keep being nasty to each other this thread will be locked up. Yeah, don't really think the tulpa forum needs a place for women only... There are plenty of forums out there on the internet that are for women only. I hope you can find one that you enjoy talking on!
  9. Using Firefox, and I don't have a problem. Try viewing the forum with something different to what you're using. Maybe you could update what you have, or check settings and see if you're blocking any content. Honestly if you do a Google search looking for a fix, you'd find a solution faster than waiting for someone to get back to you here. Good luck with it.
  10. This is getting old. I've said in previous posts that it I haven't said anything about banning 14 year olds. I've said that we should remove posts that seem like they've been written by a 12 year old on a sugar high and try find why the community feels like it is made up of people that lack life experience and maturity (14 year olds), and try change that. I think I suggested that people just hit the report button for posts that seem like they've been written by children. ___ Also I don't really get how my previous post isn't relevant. We were talking about our opinions on the psychological maturity of people and how it may or may not be related to age, and that's what I talked about. I'm really not understanding you... As for those other questions. ____ Honestly, I've given my opinions and suggestions, and have defended what I've said enough. This thread has just turned into a giant flaming festival, which just isn't beneficial for anyone. I'm stepping out.
  11. The relationship between psychological maturity and age is really heavily debated. There are so many things that are subjective about it, and even determining a way to measure maturity is a hard thing to do. The ability to have mature responses generally is learned, and I would personally say that 14 year olds in general don't have the same life experience as someone older then them, as they are still sheltered and protected by their parents. Of course this isn't the case for everyone, as with everything else you want to cover under a generalization and stereotype, there are going to be people that don't fit under it. With the way I see the average family living in the western world, I don't think a 14 year old in general with have that much maturity. Maybe over in the poorer parts of the world I'd say that 14 year olds are more mature, but over here in Australia, I will continue to think that most 14 year olds aren't psychologically mature. Also the fact that most of them only entered puberty the year before doesn't help with how I look at them and how others treat them. They are still treated as little women and little men. Even the law recognizes this and prevents them from driving and consenting to sex (among many other things) before they have had more experience gained from being treated as a little man/women and no longer a little boy/girl.
  12. Honestly would have thought a poll was done before the glossary was put up.
  13. I'm not saying let's follow the Christian approach (most Christians will interpret the 'let's hope people think we're insane and become intrigued' as 'we should be living a life noticeably different to the world around us, by a power that is not our own', not 'let's go full retard'), I'm saying that having people thinking we're 'insane' for making tulpa is fine, because we're making a glorified imaginary friend and trying to induce auditory hallucinations. I'm saying that there is no need to get upset over the fact that people are going to think that we're insane. I'm also using this to say that it's alright some people think we're insane, just as long as the community keeps its content at a PG level and shitposting to a minimum so we won't be seen as insane DEGENERATES. You've misinterpreted the meaning of 'honestly, having people thinking we're 'insane' for making tulpa is fine' as 'let's go full retard and pretend we really are insane'. I'm not saying let's go full retard, I'm saying it's alright if people think we are insane, 'Just as long as this community keeps user submitted content at a PG level and shitposting at a minimum, we won't be seen as insane degenerates.' Honestly, I wanted to move away from this community and go do my own thing with what I've learned about tulpa, so I wasn't really caring what this community was doing and how they were behaving. I was a moderator for a short time, but I just felt like moving away. Since having that article about tulpa go up, I decided to see where the community stands, and I feel that here we have a real chance of having somewhere nice for people to come learn about tulpa. Also the day I found out that their was going to be an article was the same day it came out. Well, I didn't stay, I went inactive and stopped being a part of the moderator team. I'm staying now because I see that there has been a lot of effort, money and time put into this website, and I think that it has the potential to become somewhere nice for people to come learn about tulpa. Sure, because not doing trying to help at all right now would be the most mature thing to do. Sure, it's been left to the last minute, and thats not a good thing to do, but why complain that people are trying to clean this place up even if it is the last minute? 'What do you really want, Biotech?'... ? Can't live in our imaginary world forever, eventually we do need to show that there is something different (not nothing at all) happening. I don't see why someone would be scared of finding truth... I remember that's one of the main reasons why people started to make tulpa, to see if it would actually work. Honestly I don't want scientific research done right now, that would make me have to think of other things to do once I get out of university lol. I want more publicity because I feel that making a tulpa has opened my eyes to what is possible. I want more discussions on tulpa made with a more diverse group of people. Most likely, 14 year olds are at the age were they try out many new things all at once, and are desperately trying to be a part of a group and accepted by their peers. But I honestly see us attracting an older demographic if we're in articles talking about god in things like the NYT. It doesn't really make sense that being put into these articles will attract younger people... Most likely sticking to places like 4chan will bring them in, not the NYT. I did dislike the community, I was a moderator, and I gave up. We were even trying to create another website at another point. I suppose life just got too busy to keep interested. But what can you do, what has been done cannot be changed. I'm not going to back down on trying to help the community because you feel I'm not entitled to because I'm trying at the last minute. This has nothing to do with 'muh fame'. I love talking about tulpa to other people, and I honestly want other people to make a tulpa to find out what it's really like. I am although happy that I was the one to help an article be published with tulpa in it, can't lie about that. I don't get how the community has been ruined with this interview. I can only see things improve from here, especially if we all try to clean the place up. There is something to brag about, I helped get the thing I love get into the NYT. I couldn't have been happier when I saw it. >before you want to get rid of people you need to get a consensus on terms ...? You've lost me here. Pretty sure we have a page on this website that gives the generally accepted definition of the different terms. [you've kinda gone on a tangent here....] It's a hard job to do moderating this community. Most the time when you want to put your foot down all you get is 'what a nazi mod' from everyone. ...? I've already given out what I feel on what needs to change. TL;DR We are a community, there has been a constant push for changing the things I've suggested since the birth of the community, it just hasn't seem to have happened. This isn't faking, this is using a great wake up call for everyone to change. What (Sorry for the short replies, I've gotta get going). Again, what? Anyway, hope the cleared up a few things.
  14. First step the community can take is just to hit the report button more for unwanted content, even for threads that haven't been bumped for a long time.
  15. "As Christians, at the very least we would hope that people would think we're insane. Because if enough people think we're insane, then maybe a few of those will become intrigued. And of those who are intrigued, maybe some will become inspired" - James MacPherson Honestly, having people thinking we're 'insane' for making tulpa is fine. Just as long as this community keeps user submitted content at a PG level and shitposting at a minimum, we won't be seen as insane degenerates. Might be about time to try find and delete any threads talking about things that should be kept in the bedroom, and threads that seem like they've been written by a 12 year old on a sugar high (even if they are slightly on-topic). I don't have a problem with the community making tulpa based off of cartoon characters, the only problem I find I have with the community is that the average age of users here feels to be ~14 years old. If we could find what is making people seem childish on tulpa.info and change that before we start getting into the media more (which will happen if the community keeps growing... Someone like Tanya who is interested in this sort of stuff with stumble upon us and write something in the future), we have a chance at reducing the risk of getting more children here, and being seen as a bunch of kids making imaginary friends. Unless it's just me that feels the community is like this that is. Also, this coming from the person that has bragged about getting mentioned in the NYT, there seem to be a few members out there that just crave attention. I'm sure that there are a few people that have just made up their progress with their tulpa, which is bad, but I'm talking about the people with tulpa that just scream for attention with it. If that could be cut down too that'd be nice. Anyway, just seems like these articles are giving us a chance to go improve our image before tulpa.info itself is mentioned in an article.
