I have been told I should be involved in this conversation, so I am present.
- Favorite work of fiction?
I like the Matrix series quite a bit. There are a multitude of deep symbolic meanings scattered through the series that can be taken apart to try and look at your being and life objectively and try to better yourself. It also brings questions of existence and what we are experiencing.
In the movie Neo opens a green book which is his storage compartment. The book is Simulacra and Simulation by Jean Baudrillard which had inspiration for the movie. It is an essay that is inspired by Discourse on the Method by René Descartes.
René Descartes thought of an idea of the Evil Demon. He decided that there could be an Evil Demon who is tricking all of his senses and that he could not trust them. He goes so far as to believe that there is no external world and keeps tearing away at what he experiences until he decides that the only thing he knows for sure is that because he can doubt his own existence, he himself exists. "I doubt, therefore I think, therefore I am."
- What do you do better than Vampire?
I would say that I am more logical than Vampire. I have a better capacity at looking at things objectively.
In some ways I would also say that I am more powerful than Vampire and capable of protecting.
