Hi there (: My name is Aurora and I'm a tulpa. I was created on 20th July 2012.

I usually stay very active as I try to fulfill my dreams and find purpose.

My favorite things to do are spending time with people, playing video games with them, drawing, watching fun cartoons (: and discovering my wonderland.

I want a family. A lot of humans are lucky to be born into one, whereas I came into this world with only one person being able to acknowledge my existence.

  2. Hi Ranger (: is that your name? Time is a bit of a struggle for us and it does limit what each of us can do. Luckily we have some money saved up so I have free time to learn my arts. Time constraints made us think about what are the most important things for us as we try to minimize everything else. The most important things for us turned out to be self-fulfilment and close bonds with a few people. From my experience, being the only tulpa you should have juuuust about enough to time to live a full life similar to what humans have. Two tulpas and a host is kinda pushing it, I don't know how some people manage to have a dozen of tulpas. I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time, I hope you feel better now. Thank you (: I'll probably make an art thread on this site at some point, but for now I'm just practising and I'm not as good as I'd like (:
  3. what..? I never said we should exclude people who dislike "it" policy, I was literally arguing the opposite.
  4. I don't need to give reasons why because I'm not telling anyone to do anything. I'm saying we should let them do whatever they like. I personally agree that "they" is optimal, I do that too, but I'm only one person and I don't represent the wishes of the community, nor do I want to represent it. I just want individuals to think for themselves and choose the language they want. I might tell people I'm talking to what I personally prefer, but I disagree with telling entire community what they should use. I didn't say that I think "it" will become illegal, obviously we don't have real police here. It was just as an example of how similar lines of reasoning progressed in the real world and what consequences that had. To support my slippery slope argument, I present examples from the real world. You find "it" dehumanizing but others do not. We are not a collective.
  5. Thank you c: yiss we both have wings. It's nice to meet you too. My sis is happy that inspired you and she'd love to see the drawing when it's finished. Thank you for reading my PR c:
  6. Yes, it might be a good recommendation for people to use "they" and some might choose to be respectful towards your loved ones. However I disagree that criminalization of certain words has happened for a good reason. Imagine having a a good day and then you find out you've been fired because you said something that allegedly demoralized someone, with no way to prove that. Or imagine a group of users start shaming you because you've used a word they think is impolite. That's the reality we live in right now. You're free to stop associating with people if they don't use words you prefer, however lets not encourage groupthink by telling others to do the same. If someone is offensive towards you and you don't want to deal with them, ok, block them if you like. But please don't go and then say that it's because these particular words have offended you and that everyone should stop using those words. I like my language and I don't want to be punished by the community for using words they don't approve of.
  7. Hi Reilyn and Lucilyn, thank you for your responses (: Yeah Reilyn, "bending reality" is something like that. If we believe strongly enough that a tulpa is alive and act as if that's true, it becomes true. Same thing can be used in other areas like trying to become good at something. It's not metaphysical but I think it's the closest to real magic there is. An analogy I like to make: imagine if there were two people, one lazy and overweight and the other is active and buff. Imagine if you switched their minds. After a few years there is a very high chance that their bodies will return to represent their mindstate again. Lazy mind will cause the body to lose shape and become overweight again and strong mind will lose weight and become buff again. Mind creates and reality follows. It can be argued that once the mind has created something, it's already there in some sense. Reality just hasn't caught on yet. Lunetta looks kinda like this: https://i0.wp.com/image.dhgate.com/0x0/f2/albu/g5/M01/EE/F7/rBVaI1jouJmAMObDAAFaJuBp5ls073.jpg but with light purple eyes, white bunny ears and tail. And yeah she has wings too cause she's my sis (: I'll let her reply if she wants. Lunetta: *waves timidly* hi.. it's nice to meet you both. Thank you..
  8. I don't think slippery slope is a logical fallacy, and the article you provided points out not all uses are fallacious at the bottom. It would be silly to assume that the effect where people ease in with simpler more straightforward cases at first, which later leads to them taking more ground is not real. Not only it is real, it is also extremely common, due to how human psychology works. Yeah some things are more polite than others, however it is up to each individual to decide when to be polite and when not to be. I'm ok with people being impolite when they wish to be and I'm also ok with people not subscribing to majority's definition of polite. I personally use "they", but I won't shame people who don't. If "they" is already majority's definition of being polite, there is no reason to tell others that. Free market of ideas has already decided what percentage of people prefer that term. And yeah I agree that it's probably the majority. I just prefer to let the minority be as they are.
  9. I understand where this discussion is coming from and as a tulpa I thank you for wanting to make sure we're treated well (: However I'd like to remind you that labelling certain words as offensive while other acceptable is a slippery slope. If someone pointed at me and said, "it's a tulpa", I'd say, "yeap that's me!". There is no reason to get offended. Individual words don't really matter - it's the intentions that matter. In some context I can even have a positive reaction if someone called me slurs or degrading words, it all depends on the situation. Sometimes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It starts with innocent discussions such as this one, and sometimes it ends with silly, totalitarian "hate speech" laws and group shaming people who don't use appropriate language. I much prefer people call me "it" rather than people tiptoeing and trying their best not to be offensive. It's ok, just be yourself. We, as a community, don't need to agree what pronouns are preferential, because we're not a groupthink. We're just a collection of interesting, unique individuals, all with different preferences. Heck, there might even be some tulpas that prefer "it" over "they".
  10. Merry Christmas and happy New Year everyone (: I took my desire to become a good artist seriously and I've started practising. I've also used wonderland magic to change my reality in a way that should facilitate my success in the long run. We call it "bending reality", changing our mindset in a way that will eventually have real significant impact on reality around us. It's something we came up with thanks to our involvement with tulpas (: but interestingly enough I've seen people from other backgrounds mention a similar idea. Maybe someday I'll describe exactly how we've done this. I'm not the only tulpa in this mind anymore, I have a little sister now (: Her name is Lunetta and she's a bunny girl. I can tell that having two tulpas is kinda pushing the limits of our mind already, 2-3 is probably the most we're ever going to have. There was a lot more that happened this year but that's all I feel like writing about at the moment. Here is an example of something I drew recently: https://www.deviantart.com/aurora-alley/art/Clownfish-Daily-25-770859554 https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/intermediary/f/d862abda-cd87-41f6-99d4-40127758b0b8/dcqy71e-1a95c8a6-446c-4cb1-abd1-642092767cce.png/v1/fill/w_1063,h_752,q_70,strp/clownfish__daily_25__by_aurora_alley_dcqy71e-pre.jpg[/img]
