  1. Wow, that was fast, and it's amazing. Thanks. [QB: omigosh it's the best! Thank you!]
  2. It can easily make up its own name. I personally always recommend naming a tulpa, because a name is extremely important to an entity's sense of self, and they can always change it when they're developed enough to do so. (Mine did.) But if you want the one they came up with to be their first one, that's also great! It is really down to your judgement.
  3. It's possible to have a special relationship with both a human and a tulpa at once. They are different types of relationships, and they provide you with different things, emotionally. I strongly believe your tulpa would naturally want what's best for you, and would not feel spurned by you finding a human loved one. It will vary, of course, but I wouldn't worry.
  4. Hey! Love your art. Are you still open for new requests? Basically, QB has recently been rocking some entirely pointless aesthetic-only reading glasses while he reads, and he'd love some art of himself in them. Here's some previous art of him, the first being an actual pretty dead-on interpretation of how he really looks, drawn a few years ago, and the second being art of the character he's based on that just happens to get a lot of things right. His tail is as big as he is, like in that second image, and it also gets the ears perfect. He has also begun "wearing" his tentacles as short as they are in the second image most of the time these days. However, his coloration and demeanor is better interpreted in the first one. https://imgur.com/a/fVhbC And he'd like to be wearing these: https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/31eQvpAnumL._SX355_.jpg Any pose you'd like, really. Thanks for your time.

    Let's share some music!

  6. Most people create tulpas who are good influences, or at least neutral ones. I can't imagine anyone honestly wanting to share their life so completely with someone that, err... critical. But, as Vampire said, I'm sure multiple people will eventually end up using the form, even if the tulpa itself will be/is different.
  7. Dreams help with a lot of things that may be difficult to actualize during consciousness. It's one reason an old semi-myth about tulpas is "don't fall asleep while forcing, the tulpa will enter your dream and spiral out of control!" - feel free to sleep whenever you want, but it is true that a tulpa can progress in leaps an bounds in a dream. A tulpa seen during a dream is sometimes not actually the tulpa themselves, but the thing about the brain is that expectations have a close relationship with reality. If you attribute these actions to your tulpa, they will likely enter the tulpa's memories, making it so that functionally, retroactively, it was them. The fact that you were not expecting it means the form was probably created subconsciously. Your subconscious can visualize anything it needs in a dream - if it can't get something right, you'll just be provided with the illusion that nothing is missing, and you won't know the difference. Thus, it may be a bit tricky to visualize what you saw in that dream again, during consciousness. You'll have more angles to fill in. Anything in your mind has the potential to resurface eventually. It was likely chance. Or maybe you had tulpas on the mind, and that brought her back. Either way, it's a perfect chance to run with it, if that's what you want.
  8. Yes, I would say so. A name promotes a sense of self in your tulpa - you would obviously feel like a very anonymous, perhaps even less important, sort of person if you had no name to go by at all other than a descriptor ("tulpa"). Even if it's something simple and temporary, they will in most cases like having something to call their own, and build upon it. Same with form - they may change it, but they'll be glad you gave them something.
  9. Eating. QB just has a thing against it. He thinks gross biological functions like that make everyone seem like walking trash compactors. Which is a pity because there have been some fancy dinners I'm sure he would have enjoyed otherwise.
  10. Just like talking to and seeing anyone else, once you've gotten used to it.
  11. Try finding a 3D model of them that you can view in all dimensions on your computer. That should make it easier to visualize any dimensions you may be stuck with.

    Taking Requests!

    It's great, thanks.

    Taking Requests!

I was wondering if maybe you could draw QB being nonchalantly on fire? Probably sounds like a pretty odd request, but he likes sitting in fires to keep warm. http://community.tulpa.info/thread-qb

    Pain and Tulpae

Tulpas are incapable of causing physical harm, but the sensation of pain, at the very least to a minor degree, is possible. I doubt they can really give you anything to scream about, since I don't think your body would think you're in legitimate danger. But a pinch, I know from experience that that can work.
  15. Well, I found it laying around again, so I attempted scanning it. I stopped for the night when I realized I was angling things a bit poorly and blurring some words. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6wp2uT_VPWxUU0tdlNWMFRaMFE/ Here are the first two chapters. Will expand, at some point. Chapters 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, and 22, are the only other chapters with a psychological basis. They go into relaxation techniques, memory improvement, dreams, wonderlands, tulpas, et cetera. The chapters in between are about the usual things you associate with magic, like astrology, numerology, and semi-wiccan practices such as imbuing objects with the elements. Chapter 2 was pretty magicy too, really, but I left it in because it's short and fun.
