  1. If the artist isn't going to make changes to the picture, why waste time to critique it? If you want the artist to improve, it's better to look at their gallery as a whole and then give him tips on where to improve. So you only have to write one post and not thousands. (Yes, I'm lazy.) Posting critique to an unfinished picture is constructive, because the artist needs it to make improvements. And you know that the artist read your tips and used them. Win-win for both. You either want the picture to improve or the artist to improve. That's why I see critique on finished art as waste of time.
  2. Not really possible for me with a fully coloured picture and several layers (when digital), even more annoying when you painted with real colours. You can fuck it up really fast.
  3. If the artist doesn't want critique don't post it. Otherwise call the board "art critique board". Not everything can be improved with critique. Any finished picture for example. Who would improve a finished picture?
  4. My tulpa is weird, I asked him to wake me up at one time once. Now he's waking me up all the time, unless I tell him not to. Maybe because I read a guide on how to wake up by yourself at a specific time and it said that you should expect to wake up at X to wake up at that time. I guess he's trying to do something unexpected, since I totally forgot about it and I woke up at the same time today again. http://www.clay-collins.com/blog/killing-time-how-i-ditched-my-alarm-clock-and-why-im-never-looking-back/
  5. Can you also parrot them not to talk?
  6. Quoting the FAQ: Some people might also get headaches because the expect getting headaches. Some people might call having strained eyes having headaches. Myself, I never had a real headache from tulpaforcing and all this "pressure" I had was from accidentally twisting my eyes. My tulpa is still developing and I'm getting emotional responses and stuff.
  7. Yeah it's not faster, it just looks cool. I do want to test if "multi tasking" actually works with a tulpa, once mine is ready. Since multi tasking is actually a myth. It's just that there are people who can alternate between tasks faster than others. If you can't draw/write with both hands you could try stuff like (properly) brushing hair and teeth and the same time.
  8. I started with the creation of my tulpa one week ago. Before that, I collected personality traits another x days. I'm not sure. I decided to start working on personality last thursday. Day 1: I didn't really know what to do. Had a list with about 20 traits. I went through them in less than 30 minutes. I don't remember if I did more. Day 2: I added some hobbies and likes/dislikes as traits and wrote down some personality forcing help from FAQ man's trait template. I think I forced personality for 1 hour. Again I went through all of the traits. I'm that kind of person who always wrote the shortest possible essays. I also decided to start narrating because I had nothing else to do and working on personality alone didn't really feel productive. Day 3: Ummm, what did I do again ... I think same as the day before. But in less than an hour. I'm usually narrating when I'm walking my dawg. I cut down the amount of traits because some of them weren't that good. Day 4: I think I picked third of the traits and decided to go through each with more detail. After that I again went trough each trait at once. I tried to add feeling to the traits with a short visualisation (like a happy face for the trait "funny"). Day 5: Like Day 4, but less than an hour. I think I tried to narrate with my tulpa through the whole day. I'm writing "I think" because I'm not sure which day it was. Day 6: Like the day before, except for narrating through the whole day and the length of the session was 1,5 hours. So after this it felt like my tulpa was actually present. It was just a feeling though, like when you think/feel your brother is behind you watching TV, but he actually went to the kitchen and you only notice it when he doesn't respond to the command to lower the volume. I guess I will only be sure that the tulpa is present, when he can give emotional responses on command or makes sounds. Until then I will still assume he is present like I did since Day 1. I'm also able to write down all the traits from memory. Day 7: I'm spending 30 minutes for each trait now. Actually I just repeat everything since I'm still don't have a clue how I should explain so much without repeating myself. I worked on 3 traits in the afternoon and 3 traits in the evening. Day 8: Same as day 7. I have 20 traits, but I can cut them down to about 12 since some of them are synonymous. I'm going to do all because I have time. I'm not using a wonderland. I also don't have a primitive form (like orb) for my tulpa to concentrate on. I'm calling my tulpa "Nano", but this is just a concept name and when he becomes vocal he is free to choose a new name for him. Actually when narrating I sometimes nearly used a different name to address him. But I didn't see that as a sign for deviation. I just like to confuse words. I'm that unsentimental. I'm going to force everything like planned unless there are clear signs. Also, I don't really think of him being male, I just use "him" because it's neutral. I'm asexual myself and don't want anything for sex or even love. Just a friend. (I won't care if he ends up male or female or genderless.) While forcing I never experienced headaches. It's not really surprising, since I get headaches like once every three months at most. I just wanted to clarify it, since I read a lot of progress reports and felt like an outsider having no headaches. But luckily the FAQ said they aren't required. I had some pressure (not same as what I call a headache) after some sessions, but I think those came from accidentally twisting my eyes. Maybe I should make notes for each day, so I'm not forgetting half of what I did when I feel like posting an update. (Btw, it didn't want to accept my post until I figured out, that this forum hates the English name for Canis lupus familiaris)
  9. Usually the posts stay and there is no link to their profile anymore (which doesnt exist anymore), maybe the nymes by the posts will even say "Guest" or "Deleted". I never used MyBB though, so just make a test account and find out what happens? I think it's a good idea to allow account deletion. There are many people who want anything about them removed on a website, like the e-mail address they registered with.
  10. That question of yours also popped up in my mind when I read the first sentences of your post. I also don't visualise a basic form when doing personality. (I started on thursday.) But unlike you I didn't even try to force personality on a form. So I can't tell you if I would be able to. And I don't know what I would do if I'm done with personality ... Worst is ending up with an invisible tulpa, I wouldn't mind.
