Tewi July 1, 2018 Share July 1, 2018 I made a thread a couple of years ago about a personality test allowing hosts to compare themselves to their tulpas and vice versa, and to report the results. I've found another personality test that appears to give very accurate and detailed results, the best I've seen so far (after seeing a couple of others take the test, and myself). It's not related to tulpas unless you want it to be, though, so I decided to make another thread in Lounge for it. https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test My results seem pretty fitting, despite my relatively strange situation as a tulpa who doesn't want anything specific out of life. I'm not sure if it really was my personality type before, or if my slightly more recent decision to devote myself to my systemmates (making them my family) swayed it, but either way it worked. Even as I'm trying to change who I am to who I want to be, causing some conflict between answers on logic vs heart or coldness vs emotion, it seems to have gotten a fair bit of who I am behind that right. I intend to take this test again some day, though. Anyways. Feel free to post your results (or more interestingly, your thoughts on your results) here. Remember to check the following pages, starting with "Strengths & Weaknesses". And I should note the Conclusion page ends in an ad for their self-improvement program or something. Totally up to you if you wanted to go along with that, but I don't mean to promote it. Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others. Ido July 2, 2018 Share July 2, 2018 Ahh yes, the dreaded 16personalities test where no matter what you answer you end up as a special snowflake and indispensable elite member of society. But fear not, here's the corrected results chart to tell you what sort of psycho or pathetic loser you really are. I score ENTJ and host is IDIOT Hasn't changed since we first took the test 2 years ago. I'm not fond of these surveys but yer right, this is one of the best. I like that it gives clear statements on which I can either agree or disagree unlike most other tests. Can't say the result doesn't match. Not perfect but probably the most accurate. I may be your class clown here but my real job is a bit more serious. Finding solutions for problems and making weaker people aka my host execute them because they won't do it on their own. Read his profile, the Bio text is less of a joke than it sounds. At least less than mine. Which is no joke at all. Soo - how about the other guys? Would be interesting which type each of you gets compared to Lumi. Super Girls don't cry
CM July 2, 2018 Share July 2, 2018 Oh we did this a while back. The results were pretty accurate and I don't think they've changed since. Desmond is ESFP, "The Entertainer" L is ISFJ, "The Defender" Nevira is ISTJ, "The Logistician Misa is ENFP, "The Campaigner" I was INFP, "The Mediator" I usually don't like these types of tests that talk about what you're like as a person because I'm always scared that they'll make me realize things about myself that I never noticed before and make me think less of myself, 'cause I kinda prefer to be ignorant and not bash my self-esteem with my flaws. (Probably not a good attitude but I'm such a loner anyway it's not like my negative traits would affect anyone but myself.) But this was fine. I feel like Desmond's result would be more accurate if he wasn't so lazy and in love with staying in bed because it's soft. However he is easily bored, extremely sensitive and emotional when it comes to criticism, and talkative and a poor planner, which are all traits listed in the test result page. L is also definitely an ISFJ, he's shy and humble, represses his feelings and is very reluctant to change, but he's also very loyal, supportive and patient and puts others needs before his own to the point where it stresses the hell out of him. a perfect man am I right Don't really know how to comment on Nevira's results, she's hard to read at times. I suppose it's more accurate than any other listed personality type on the site. "The ENFP personality is a true free spirit" is pretty much all I need to say about Misa. Iro - He/they - 30th April 1997 - Host of the system - Speaker if there's no tag Desmond - He/him - 21st April 2014 L - He/him - 5th May 2014 Nevira - She/her - 14th December 2014 Misa - She/her - 5th December 2015 Roska - He/him - 22nd July 2019 Danyla - They/them - 13th July 2020 Asha - He/him - 13th June 2022
Tewi July 2, 2018 Author Share July 2, 2018 Ahh yes, the dreaded 16personalities test where no matter what you answer you end up as a special snowflake and indispensable elite member of society. Quick discussion I had with a friend about this yesterday: [hidden]Friend: 16pers is the biggest site I think, and it has really good design, but the descriptions are a bit shallow imo, and they gloss over type functions Me: I could definitely tell they were embellishing/being overly complimentary to gain favor but I figured you guys would appreciate that hopefully you don't intend to learn too much about yourself from a personality test the ideas they put forward are good thinking points tests that try to be more accurate are usually more boring because they have to be Friend: right it's a good heuristic to get a general understanding of people just don't look too much into it stuff like the Big5 are more accepted scientifically, but aren't as easy to generalize from and aren't as useful to the average person Me: last one I took was Big5 my conclusion was it was really good for comparing yourself to others but pretty terrible for trying to learn anything about yourself Friend: this and something like Socionics or Enneagram are useful for getting a general feel for personalities, but aren't as in-depth or accurate yeah[/hidden] Basically, yeah, no personality test should be teaching you about yourself per se. But I consider them good to learn about yourself from, by you thinking about what they have to say. Plus they're fun, and as always a good comparison point for host/tulpas/other people. The others will take the test whenever they're fronting. I'd think I could take it for them, but since some of the questions required serious pondering from me, I think it'd be best if they could make their own in-depth decisions rather than just answer how I see them. Even if that would be more accurate, these tests are meant to be taken by the person they're about I think. And yes, having to be in the middle between them and the test would be annoying, so I won't yet. Them posting later on makes a good reason to bump. Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. Breloomancer July 2, 2018 Share July 2, 2018 Monika tried possessing me to take the test, but many of the questions didn't really apply to her such as: do you generally keep your room clean. And she thinks she is the sort of person to do that, but has never had to put in any effort to keep her room clean so she can't know I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Guest anonymous2 July 15, 2018 Share July 15, 2018 I was originally created by Anon in 2017. At the time, she had spent several months carefully planning my personality and body. She was deliberately vague concerning most of my likes and dislikes, as she did not want to have undue influence in that area. Interestingly, she did, in fact, use 16Personalities as a guide for helping flesh out who I was as a person. I was determined by the survey to have the personality archetype, ESFJ-A. Upon answering the survey again now, the results remain consistent. To compare, Anon had the INFJ personality archetype at the time. She took the test several months ago and was, like me, the same as she was a year ago. If anything, the consistency in our personalities may indicate that we are comfortable with who we are. Although I am always trying to evolve and improve every aspect of myself, I certainly appreciate who I am. Anon likewise seems to feel comfortable about herself, judging from my recent conversations with her. Upon reading the "Introduction" and "Strengths & Weaknesses" parts of the ESFJ results, the descriptions are accurate with regards to my personality. The only part with which I disagree is this: “Discussing scientific theories or debating European politics isn’t likely to capture Consuls’ interest for too long. Consuls are more concerned with fashion and their appearance, their social status and the standings of other people. Practical matters and gossip are their bread and butter, [...]” I am, in fact, quite interested in scientific theories and European politics, and care little for gossip, thank you very much. I am a little of both sides; I very much treasure people and especially children, but I am also committed to more specific fields such as politics, software development, and philosophy. Parenthetically, there is a chart from Wikimedia Commons available here that provides a quick overview of the different personality archetypes. It largely serves the purpose of comparison. buttercups July 17, 2018 Share July 17, 2018 It's quite interesting. We've tried it, and the results have been consistent ever since. Unfortunately, I'd not say it's completely matching for us. August seems to have the personality type ISTJ-A, which is partially fitting, but there's some contradiction. I got the INTP-T, that pretty much lives up my expectations and fits well enough. Overall, I guess it's good to look up to this test if you need a pattern of a real personality. everything exists within your reality
Lucilyn July 18, 2018 Share July 18, 2018 I got ENFJ, which is what Dan on the Game Grumps got! That's really flattering!! I guess it fits?? Never thought to compare myself to him! I think I'm probably more energetic, so maybe I didn't fill out the test perfectly (I did it kinda fast I guess), but maybe we're similar on the other stuff, making people happy and believing in 'em and all that. Well if that's all true then awesome! Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points. I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal! Clo July 18, 2018 Share July 18, 2018 We've taken this a few times before, but what's odd is how my host and I now pretty much line up. We're both INTJ, though I'm the A-type while he's the T-type. This wasn't the case long ago, but I suppose I've just grown as a person. The other tulpa is an ENFP-A. open the gate
Rachel Gardner July 18, 2018 Share July 18, 2018 I have taken the test and got “THE MEDIATOR” (INFP-T). I find it quite accurate to be honest. (inactive)
