A question about puppeting.

Recommended Posts

I've been working on my tulpa, and I noticed that my mind likes to mess with me and puppet her without me wanting to.

This is annoying as hell. I would like this to stop.

...Any solutions?

How long have you been working on your tulpa? Are you sure it isn't sentience and the tulpa is moving on its own, rather than puppeting?

I know it's my mind, I've been working on my tulpa for less than a week. And it's usually things I would expect my mind to do/say.

The only thing you can really do is learn to catch yourself when you puppet/parrot. As soon as you do realize that's what you did, just stop and ask your tulpa if that's something she would have really done. Try to allow her as much input as possible, and feel for any kinds of emotions or sensations like pressure in your head that may be coming from her rather than yourself.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've yet to see the first person step forward to report that they've puppeted their tulpa to death, but if you close yourself off to your tulpa doing anything or get too caught up in how long you expect things to take, you could prolong the process unnecessarily, and you'll have a hard time getting real vocal responses from your tulpa if you convince yourself that it's impossible for your tulpa to speak or if you get stuck in an endless loop of "it's too soon" and "I must be doing it." Don't let yourself forget that this is a psychological experience, not a paranormal phenomenon. Your tulpa's development depends more on you allowing yourself to believe in it and convincing that part of your subconscious of its sentience than any step or method detailed in the guides.

that happens to me during visulaization while forcing. I'll be forming a foot or something and I'll look up at my tulpa's face to see her look down at me and smile or just look at me. Or, if I'm bringing her into another room of my wonderland apartment she'll walk along with me with her arms crossed. Its weird, because I'm not purposefully parroting, but I know that at only 6 hours in shes not gonna be sentient.
