"Alien" thoughts/messages and "locating" your tulpa

In my quest to raise Matilda, it seems like one of the biggest challenges is actually "hearing" and identifying her activity. At this point the vast majority of my active forcing time has been narration and I feel like I have the right idea for that. However I am not 100% sure what to make of the things I have been able to experience in my head.

I have had increased frequency of lucid dreams in the span of time since I started my attempts at tulpamancy. Sometimes during my earlier forcing attempts years ago, my mind would seem to dose-off or "hiccup" for a very brief moment and I would be able to hear voices or messages with very strong mind voices. However these voices varied wildly in what they ended up saying and the "sound" of the voice itself. There was never really a pattern to them and they very rarely had a voice similar to the one I have suggest to Matilda for talking to me.

Very recently I have taken up a new forcing regime that involves 30 minutes of concentrated narration every day and I have a 15 day streak going with this commitment at the time of writing this post. During these sessions I listen to Theta wave isochronic tones while narrating, and often take melatonin afterwards for sleeping.

For a while, ever since I came to know able lucid dreaming, I wanted to try having lucid dream to possibly have better luck finding Matilda and interacting with her. Most I the times I end up with a lucid dream, I try calling her with seemingly no success.

However, one incident stands out, I seemed to end up in between a waking state and a dreaming state or something. It felt like a dream but my eyes could still see the room I was lying down in. The strange thing is I could hear mind voices with great clarity and this time one of them sounded like the mind voice I have been trying to get Matilda to use. It sounded like someone grunting as if they were trying to speak while severely out of breath or perhaps losing her voice.

I havent heard anything else since then that could not be written off as unconscious parroting (thinking about what you expect your tulpa to say).

I wanted to know what you guy think. I am having trouble understanding if any of these voices are Matilda due to the lack of consistency.

Generally you shouldn't assume that anything dream related/sleep related is really your tulpa, it isn't impossible, though. There are just too many options.

There are two things you should consider for hearing your tulpa:

1. It is pretty normal that the mindvoice of your tulpa, its thoughts, aren't too different from your own thoughts in the early stages of vocality. So you might end up knowing a splitsecond before your tulpa says anything, what your tulpa is about to say. So if you don't actively think it up beforehand you can assume that it was really your tulpa answering. It will become more distinct over time and you will be able to tell the difference, but for now you might end up silencing your tulpa if you try to actively don't parrot and be silent yourself.

2. Try to focus on your whole tulpa (its essence/everything you're aware of) if you try to communicate with it instead of focussing on vocal answers. You will get stronger and more clear answers this way. Don't try to force or prohibit any responses.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

I've moved this thread from General Discussion to Questions and Answers. It sounds like you're looking for feedback more than anything.

Rule of thumb is that both of those are related to you trying to force your brain a different activity than it is accustomed to. That said, you do not necessarily need to discount it as being a dream product, not embrace it as being your tulpa. Some people I know had used lucid dreaming as a way to force like crazy, though that is normally down the road when theyhave a fledged tulpa that they can communicate and confirm with. However, that is not to say that your experience is unusable. Just accept it as a breakthrough and keep on chugging along. The brain is some really complex stuff and it all weaves together somehow.

I agree with Lacquer, it's probably just your dreams causing the odd voices. I think you should probably try to stop lucid dreaming for a bit and focus directly on forcing while you are fully awake to locate her. Try sitting up while forcing, hopefully that would help.

Keep in mind that there is a chance it could be her trying out different voices, so don't get too spooked out. The same happened with my own tulpas.
