glitchthe3rd March 11, 2015 Share March 11, 2015 I've been seeing these ask threads springing up lately, some by tulpamancers far more inexperienced than I am. So I figured, why not let people ask my girls some questions? Luna and Naomi are both a lot older than most tulpas around here, and pretty experienced to boot, so ask away. Missy March 11, 2015 Share March 11, 2015 Humm... I got two out of three of those, so I guess I'll start with: What's a Lunarian? -Melody
glitchthe3rd March 11, 2015 Author Share March 11, 2015 Luna: We're basically just moon people, most Lunarians are also possessed of otherworldly beauty and superhuman endurance, among other things. Take that stuff away and I'm just a pretty white girl who's living in some pervert's head. Luminesce March 11, 2015 Share March 11, 2015 Reisen: Wow, I started a trend! Also Lunarians are said to be "pure" whereas Earthlings are "imperfect". That's why they live for so long and have a lot of disdain for Earth. What inspired you to make your own "Lunarian" tulpa, when there were more than a hundred Touhou characters to choose from? And is she based on either of the Watatsuki sisters? Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
glitchthe3rd March 11, 2015 Author Share March 11, 2015 No, I actually made her before I even knew what Touhou was. If anything I was inspired by the Lunarians in Final Fantasy IV, which I was playing through right around then (in 8th grade). Luna: Also I'll throw in that I don't disdain Earth at all, especially since the moon is a harsh and desolate place and Earth is so vibrant and full of beauty and joy and all that fun stuff. Luminesce March 11, 2015 Share March 11, 2015 I didn't know Final Fantasy had Lunarians, that's interesting. And Kaguya, the ex-princess of the moon, also grew to love Earth for ~the same reasons. That's why she decided not to go back when her exile was over (the lunarians considered exile to the Earth a terrible punishment). Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. glitchthe3rd March 11, 2015 Author Share March 11, 2015 Heh, that's probably why Kaguya is my favorite Touhou and my headcanon of her is that she's secretly a massive slut, because she reminds me of Luna >.> "Science isn't about why, science is about why not?" -Cave Johnson Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi My progress report
Ido March 12, 2015 Share March 12, 2015 Take that stuff away and I'm just a pretty white girl who's living in some pervert's head. Implying most of us aren't exactly that Host has just read through your entire progress report, I'm still- idk what to say. I mean it was completely insane but still fun. Except for that new age stuff, that;s just gay. Do the 3 of you still believe this? I mean good luck at becoming the new messiah, if anyone it's gonna be me! :P And wtf is an angelkin? Wait, on second thought i think I can vaguely imagine and I'm not sure I really want to know more about this. So, serious question to Luna: How do I into possession or even switching? Imean, I can move his arms quite well now but he has to help a lot while typing and it still lookslike a complet messss afterwards <- which needs to be corrected by my host. I've read about the analogy with the bodysuit for possession, but then what? I know it's supposed to be different for everyone but maybe you have some hints for me. Can't hurt to ask. glitchthe3rd March 12, 2015 Author Share March 12, 2015 I'm not sure, if that is how things will go down then I've still got a long way to go before I reach that point. Finally getting my bachelor's degree in May, so I'm about a third of the way to becoming a practicing psychologist. Naomi: An angelkin is just someone who considers themselves an angel, I think. The main reason I took that on as part of my identity is because my host sent me to Heaven (or more likely it was just his notion of Heaven and he actually just relegated me to the back of his mind for a few years). When he brought me back into his life I kept the wings as a memento. Luna: I find it helps to have your host relax his body before and during possession, but it's ultimately one of those things that you improve on by doing. When you get to be my age, possession will most likely be second nature for you as it is for me. I can jump into his body while he has his guard down and control him just like that, and the energy consumed by possessing him is barely a rounding error to me anymore. So... yeah, practice makes perfect.
