Just like an email, you can't edit a PM once you send it. Just send another PM to the person saying you made a mistake. Next time, you can hit the "Preview" button bellow the editor before submitting your PM to make sure everything is okay.

Oh, in that case just send another PM saying you forgot something important. Mistakes happen, that's fine. Don't spam them with a bunch of PM's, though.

It's very common to send (or at least, for people to send us) another short PM immediately after the first saying something, lol. They'll still see both, because even if they click the second one first the "Unread private message" notification doesn't go away. This is completely unrelated to the multiple posting rule which doesn't exist for PMs.
Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise.
I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him.

I literally just did that, since I sent a PM on accident before I finished writing it. The etiquette is just about the same as that for email. I just sent another PM right after. -J

that is good to know. Due to my Aspergers I often need to try to keep a mail short.. the longer I make one. the more likely my Aspergers is likely to start to affect things and send me into an extremely long ramble, and Im not kidding but someone could end up with a 5 or 6 page post which I can literally make myself ill while doing
