Can your tulpa sing?

Visitant System

Recommended Posts

Visit has trouble keeping a consistent voice and accent, and I find that when you have a song stuck in your head, you're usually replaying the vocals as you heard them rather than singing/subvocalising them in your own voice(s). Singing in her own voice (distinct from the audio memory) is a little challenging, but it helps her find her voice and talk without getting distracted by accent or tone or whatnot.

Anyway, can any tulpa here 'sing' easily? Do they struggle keeping a consistent voice otherwise? Does this help? (Do they care?)

be kind / be humble / know thyself

Dayse Talking here.

So yesterday on a voice call, for no reason whatsoever, I started so singing. I sang "sound of the silence", "all-star", and other songs.

Tbh we were very high for taking the wrong medication for headaches.

Heehee, we've never tried singing before, I can't even imagine any of the others doing that. But now I wanna hear it! But who and what to sing? Tewi just gave me a "Me? Please no..", but maybe Reisen...

Ohmygosh she can sing! For some reason singing made her all happy, like I've never seen her this emotive (pretty sure that's a word) before, and she doesn't know why either. I was looking through our itunes and she was totally ready to sing every song with lyrics I looked at. Really though I've never seen her so happy, she's usually a lot more neutral-loving not super smiley!

And after I got Tewi to sing something too (:

So yeah I guess we can sing! I actually thought we couldn't sing in our own voices to songs we know well but Reisen did it just fine. It was like I could turn the volume down on the normal voice in the song to just hear her.{If that wasn't clear, this was just music in our head, and I could hear Reisen singing instead of the actual singer} And since we don't even normally have very clear audible-voices (usually more like "feelings" attached to our voices than real sound), I think this might even be a good tip for tups to practice/improve their vocality! That's crazy. We never ever thought about singing in our own voices, usually it's more like singing the words just in the original singer's voice.

We can probably do this because music is a huge part of our life, we like always have totally random songs/music playing in the background of our mind throughout the day and we have a ton of songs related to us on a personal level, they even helped with forcing the others' personalities years ago! And I didn't have much time to exist before I heard my favorite song from Lumi, but since it's like 100% inspirational to me and represents everything I love I'd say it probably affected me back then too. Oh so anyways, we have pretty good ability to play songs clearly in our head (and spoof peoples' voices saying things) so it might be easier for us than others. So uh, don't feel bad if it's not as easy for you basically

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

A tulpa being able to sing is probably more about their own level of vocality (at the moment, for developed tulpas) and your own personal ability to modify your memories of music and/or voices. I'm sure there are clearly vocal tulpas who can't sing in the place of the actual singer's voice to music in their head, and perhaps some not quite fluent tulpas may be able to influence the voice in a song in other systems. While I wouldn't use it as a judge of tulpas' vocal skills, it certainly seems like a useful method of forcing. Preordained vocals can serve as a guide to modify into your tulpa's voice, as opposed to creating it and their words entirely from scratch.

Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others.

All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family.

Krystaal: Both me and Vera can sing. Frankly I'm better at it than she is, but I've had more practice. I find that I can assist my host when he sings, too. It's like we're singing together in a duet but the real effect is more control over the voice-box and diaphragm resulting in a more beautiful singing voice when we sing together.

I've heard Clarissa and Lily sing. Haru's hummed occasionally, but I don't think I've ever heard her sing. Hmm... maybe I should change that, hehe...

Ahem. We're all massive music lovers, so even though vocalization is a really painful point about tulpamancy for me (my tulpa's voices still revert back to mine when I'm not careful) they can sing as well as talented amateurs usually can. Lily often sings softly when she really gets into the groove without being tone deaf, and as a metalhead like me, we've had our moments of growling along to a song. Clarissa on the other hand, can sing opera. Opera. She's a big fan of Western classical, and she got so absorbed into her first attempt at "Nessun Dorma" that she hadn't even noticed my mouth hanging open the whole time. And there were no issues with maintaining the pitch and tone of her voice, either. Maybe it was just luck, but that one time she sang wholeheartedly, her voice did not meld with mine even slightly. It was glorious.

Too bad she's been too embarrassed to sing since.
