Weer September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 From the recent Tulpa study: "The age range of interviewed Tulpamancers was 14 to 34 years, with most falling in the 19 to 23 range.". After we reach 20 years of age or so, we start to lose neuroplasticity, the brain's structure is more or less permanent. For example, our personality rarely changes after 25 years of age. But we are still able to learn new stuff, albeit more slow if the thing is entirely new, nothing stops you from picking up guitar when you are 50, but of course the learning is easier the earlier you start. So, what I want to ask from older tulpamancers (preferably without pre-existing framework like a imaginary friend), was the process of creating a tulpa hard for you compared to others and can the tulpa be potentially as developed (independent, sentient) as tulpae of people who start at early age? FurryBlueNaki September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 I'm still new to it (8 days in), and I find it takes a lot of work. Progress is slow. Belief is a must. I'm 37. sushi September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 I'm 29, and I don't think I've had any unusual difficulty so far. I haven't done imposition yet though. I'd be interested in hearing the ages at which people finished imposition. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
ThatFellowWithTheScarf September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 I'm fourteen years old. I'm breezing through this like it's nothing, I think my old habit of daydreaming may have helped, and I do have quite the imagination so maybe that's a factor. FurryBlueNaki September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 Wow, I wouldn't say it's nothing. It's harder than getting my MBA (Master's Degree). Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox. Birthdate September 20, 2014. Sentient October 1, 2014.
Guest amber5885 September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 He's also a kid, they have better imaginations and more time in their hands then we do unfortunately.
FurryBlueNaki September 27, 2014 Share September 27, 2014 I have 2-3 hours a day to spend tulpaforcing through the week, so time isn't an issue for me. I don't have a family other than my furbaby (a wolfdog). But yeah, younger people have better imaginations. My wonderland tends to be near a waterfall, or under the stars. Or him lying on the beach as he is in the pic I have of him. I pretty much tulpaforce when I'm not worn out. Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox. Birthdate September 20, 2014. Guest amber5885 September 28, 2014 Share September 28, 2014 ^ that's actually not true. Your personality changes throughout your entire life. Thinking that it stops at a certain age is actually a huge misconception. If you want proof I am 29 years old and already I am a completely different person than I was at 25. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/12/09/brain-plasticity.aspx this is actually one of about four pages I a read through that claim that a persons loss in neroplasticity with age is actually a myth. The brain, just like the physical body needs exercise and a person who is mentally fit will have a brain that is perfectly capable of changing and working just like that of a young adults, If you are the kind if person who engages in fantasy, creativity and keeps your brain active there is no reason to think that a young person would be anymore equipped to handle the task of tulpa making then an older one but again it's all dependent on the brain, http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2003/05/030513075924.htm an your personality never stops changing so the brain is a self upgrading computer basically. It just boils down to how much you use it and what kind of exercise it's used to.
