Daily activities with my tulpa

So, I kind of had a few questions on the subject of my tulpa and daily activities that people usually do.

1. Is it/can it be beneficial to have/let your tulpa do things that are typical of people? Also, is it normal/common?
When I say "things that are typical of people," I mean things like getting dressed/being dressed in a different outfit daily, showering, sleeping, eating, etc. I've never really forced Vellace or pressured him into doing any of these things, but when I started visualizing him, I'd sometimes just idly have him doing them (usually at the same time I was doing them) because it helped him feel more real and therefore easier to impose/visualize, and now he kinda just idly does them on his own.

2. Is it normal to have to dress your (humanoid) tulpa daily? If so, how long until he can do it himself? Will he start doing it himself?
When I say "dress," I of course don't mean getting out imaginary clothes and putting them on your tulpa as if they were a 3-year-old; I just mean thinking up and visualizing them in a new outfit daily. Vellace was really fussy from the get-go about being naked/in underwear, (enough so that his torso and legs and such are only like half as detailed as I wanted to get them) so he was of course wearing clothes from the get-go. As another matter of it helping him seem more real to me, I gave him a different outfit every day, and he kinda just developed being used to that, and now he gets pretty pissy about being put/left in outfits similar or identical to previous ones, and he has his own style that helps and makes me adhere to. However, I'm not the most imaginative in the fashion department, (and neither is he) so this is getting to be a bit of a pain in the ass.

And lastly: 3. Do tulpas sleep? Is it possible for them to sleep while you're awake or vise versa?
I have a pretty weird sleep schedule which involves staying up til like 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and Vellace usually likes to be in bed by around 1 at the latest, so it's around that time that he'll either start urging me to go to sleep or just say good night and pull the covers over himself or generally act like he's asleep. And he also likes to sleep in, which I found out primarily due to him being much harder to talk to and visualize in the mornings, although he confirmed my suspicions when I asked him about it. However, in both of these situations, (but moreso when he goes to sleep early than when he sleeps in) I'm still capable of talking to him and visualizing him in situations other than being asleep, and when I do, he doesn't exactly have that "I'm trying to sleep," or "I just woke up," vibe, and generally makes no allusion to having been asleep, so that's why I'm questioning whether or not him sleeping while I'm awake is actually a thing that's happening.

Sorry for the long post! Thanks for answers!

One tulpa named Vellace.
Gender: Male, but gosh dang can he be effeminate.
Age: 17 years old; been around for I think about 4 months now.
Species: Human except with a tail.
Stage: Imposition/visualization.

1. If it makes him feel more real, then yeah, do it. I don't see a problem with that at all.

2. Well, a lot of people that I've talked to made clothes for their tulpas until they were able to make clothes of their own, so yeah, I guess you can just do it until your tulpa is able to.

3. Sleep is optional for tulpas. They really don't have to, but some claim to be more "refreshed" after waking up. Yes, tulpas can sleep while you're awake and vice versa.

RE: Daily activities with my tulpa

1) Yeah, my tulpa does pretty average everyday things all the time such as showering, changing outfits and eating. There is nothing to lose if they are "more realistic" however they don't need to do these things to survive of course.

2) My tulpa generally wears the same handful of outfits however she chooses what she wants to wear. I don't go up to her in the morning and go "Alright today you will wear a blue shirt with jeans and brown sneakers and NOTHING ELSE."

3) It depends I guess. My tulpa gets mentally drained usually as I get tired and takes time to relax while I sleep. She also naps throughout the day but once again, I don't think it is totally necessary unless they want to.

RE: Daily activities with my tulpa

1. Whether this is beneficial or not would be determined by whether it would help you. It is also the choice of the tulpa. Some tulpas would simply find it pointless to eat, sleep, etc. Others, like my own, enjoy doing it just for the sake of doing it, not because they have to. It would, however, likely be beneficial not in the creation, but in the realistic aspect of the tulpa. It would help the host be more at ease believing in the tulpa when they see them doing every day things that they do as well. Whether or not it is common is debatable, I've seen many tulpas who do these things, and just as many who don't. In short, it is really the tulpas decision if they want to do these things or not.

2. Again with the 'is it normal' question. Really, does it matter all that much if what is happening is considered normal? Each tulpa will be different and each tulpamancy experience will be different. While you can force clothes on to the tulpa, the tulpa will also be able to do so themselves just as they can manipulate the wonderland or anything else about themselves. If you believe that he can dress himself, he likely will. If that doesn't seem to work, try showing him how to dress himself and them having him repeat the action so that he can get used to the feeling of dressing himself. Not fashion savvy? Try flipping through a fashion magazine or website to pick up clothing ideas if he really wants to look good.

3. Many tulpas sleep, many don't. I've noticed that younger tulpas in the community tend to sleep more than older ones, though their are some who do not sleep at all. Tulpas can sleep while you're awake and vice versa, and that is not uncommon. Just because your tulpa doesn't look like they were asleep doesn't mean that they weren't. Tulpas aren't restricted by all of the same boundaries that we are and therefore don't have to look like crap when they wake up or sound raspy. They can look as perfect as always if they want to since there is nothing forcing them to look like a mess.

Hope this was somewhat helpful.

Thanks everyone, (especially Gryphon Flight) your answers were very informative. =)
On the subject of me questioning if things are normal: I'm just as likely to keep doing a thing whether it's normal or not, I was asking if it's a common thing mostly out of curiosity, and also kind of so I won't go around looking like an idiot 'cause I'm under the impression that pretty much everyone or no-one does the same things I do. Also, I never really considered looking through a magazine or website for clothing ideas, so thanks for that suggestion. It proved to be quite helpful.

Don't worry yourself about being perceived as an idiot around here. Tulpamancy is so different for everyone, just allow things to come as they do, though I completely understand your worry and all. Don't force your experiences away if they don't match others' ^.^

RE: Daily activities with my tulpa

I think it's nice to do the things other people do too. Doing the same things my host does when we wake up is kind of fun. Brushing our teeth, eating breakfast, having coffee. It's nice, because I don't know what else I would do in the meantime! I personally like eating, but some other tulpas I know don't.

Clothes are a lot of fun for me. I like wearing the clothes of friends to remind me of them, and it's nice to be able to choose what I want to wear in the mornings. Making clothes is a fun activity, too.
