Archer November 13, 2013 Share November 13, 2013 A thought came to me today as the first signs of the notorious headaches came about. Could we think of the headaches as a good thing? I mean, I like them as I've mentioned in my progress report, because I believe they indicate progress in tulpa-making. I'm quite new to all this, but I was wondering what you all think. My Tulpae: Source: White floating teardrop form with two black eyes. Playful, curious. Quill: Human Male. Sarcastic, but serious. Main voice of group and moral compass. Felice: Female human. Quiet, sweet.
Procron X November 13, 2013 Share November 13, 2013 Well, I don't enjoy headaches in and of themselves. Relating to tulpae, however, I think of them as a sort of growth pain: uncomfortable, but in the end it's a good thing. I've also noticed that they bother me less and less as time goes on. Either I am getting used to them or they are becoming less severe. My opinion? If you are getting headaches, then you are doing something right. In fact, I might be worried if you didn't ever get them. But, again, that's just my thought on it. Niteo and Amber Take On the World Amber speaks in italics right now. omegaAnubis November 13, 2013 Share November 13, 2013 well kinda back when i was starting aura, he used headaches as a binary sort of answer to yes/no questions. when i got a headache for yes, i seemed to enjoy it somewhat one time however, i did something that i offended him. so he gave me probably the worst headache i have experienced in a while, and my god it was painful, i hated it. but that was over a year ago, now he just says words i am forever banned from drinking orange juice because my tulpa hates it with a burning passion
TheGuyWithTheGlasses November 14, 2013 Share November 14, 2013 If my ex-friend finally says something correct about Tulpas, small headaches mean your tulpa is proceeding further to your world. I get a lot of headaches when Tulpaforcing, yet she doesn't wanna come to my world. Maybe he is lying.
Ginger Ninja11 November 14, 2013 Share November 14, 2013 Headaches seem to be a commonplace thing with me. However if i've had a stressful day then sometimes they can become more severe, either by forcing AND an actuall headache caused by stress, or a method of my Tulpa comforting me. I dunno. -Creative one-liner here- -Comment about a user here- -tulpa Progress report here- -symbol here- -more text- -Quote #2-
Stryke November 18, 2013 Share November 18, 2013 I don't think I experience full-on headaches per se, but Thunderfall's active presence is often accompanied by persistent pressure spikes in my forehead. But yes, ever since they started I have considered them a positive thing. It's not so much that I enjoy having them, more that I feel happy about what they denote and therefore don't mind them one little bit. In fact, early on I told him I don't care how strong a headache he gives me; if it means he's here and developing then bring 'em on! Quilten November 19, 2013 Share November 19, 2013 I suppose I've never thought of headaches in a sense that they are, themselves, good. In a sense of tulpamancy, they are a sign of growth, like Procron said. But honestly, I don't usually have lasting headaches, mostly because I can focus enough to make them subside, or my tuppers help out. I wouldn't be encouraging trying to get headaches in the first place, but as an effect, I don't see why they shouldn't be seen in a more practical light. Xantan November 22, 2013 Share November 22, 2013 This sounds like classical conditioning. if you ask your tulpa for a response, you'll have the expectation of a response. If that response happens, you're going to feel good, or happy, or elated, or what have you. If the response your tulpa gives you is a headache, then over time you're going to associate those headaches with the happiness you feel from your tulpa communicating, and the headaches will become more pleasurable, or at least you won't consider them unpleasant. BlackMuffin November 22, 2013 Share November 22, 2013 Chuul uses headaches to give me responses to things. I can discern between what bothers him and what pleases him based on exactly where on my head he places pressure and how that pressure feels. So I like them because it means Chuul wants to interact with me to some degree. owo
Stryke November 22, 2013 Share November 22, 2013 My only real concern with focussing so much on these pressures is the idea that if I get a bad headache and perceive it as Thunderfall instead of whatever else is causing it, I won't want to take any painkillers in case it dulls his responses. Next time I get an honest-to-goodness headache I imagine I will suffer quite badly...
